Wow Maintenance is a necessary evil but damn

I’ve been playing this game for a very long time, like most of us, so I’m used to the maintenance and servers being down for an extended period of time. While I appreciate and hope that during this time there are bugs being fixed and an assortment of issues being handled in the game, I feel like there should be a more accurate time frame for this maintenance that is relayed to the players. It gets kind of frustrating when I have the day off and I plan to take care of errands and other random things, basically planning my day around the maintenance and then I get home and the Maintenace has been extended for 3 hours. I don’t mind long maintenance schedules, and I don’t expect for them to say servers are going to be up at 11am, and I be able to play at exactly 11. But to say the servers are going to be up at 11 and then 5min before 11, say you have tacked on another 2hours is frustrating as hell. I’m assuming that not every time, but the majority of the time, the blizz team knows when servers will be up. All I’m asking is that they give a more accurate time frame for when server will be down as to not inconvenience people like me, is that a wrong ask? Or am I going overboard with asking that? And then if Area 52 is going to go down for the first hour after maintenance could get free transfers off the realm? Just asking, still a fan tho.
