WoW launches but only hear sound, nothing on the screen

After the latest update, WoW Retail doesn’t launch correctly.

After pressing “Play” on the launcher, I can hear the sound, but I do not see anything on the screen. I can even log onto a character by pressing return a few times, but I can only hear it, not see it.

I tried repairing the app, but it doesn’t scan and repair. I would sometimes get an error.

I tried reinstalling the app in the original WoW folder in Applications, but the “Scanning Game Files” just keeps cycling up to 90ish% and starts over again.

I tried redownloading the app in a different folder, which I was able to install it, but I had the same problem with sound only, nothing on the screen.

WoW Classic still works fine.

Not really sure what to do at this point.

MacOS 10.13.6

This issues was fixed sometime in the past week. Everything working as it should.

If anyone experiencing this issue in the future, I found a work around. Clicking on the WoW icon in the dock after launching WoW made the video return. I usually use command+tab to cycle to different apps, and that didn’t work, but clicking the icon directly on the app did.
