WoW is using 5,000 MB Memory Causing Crashing

I have seen some threads from last month about this being a common issue with a patch but I am still having this issue.

Tried fresh re-install, running with 0 addons after reinstall, repair scan, and basically every suggestion under the sun but this has been consistent for about 2 weeks now. The game will crash at times due to memory peaking.

I got this error during the crash last night DA110F98-B88A-426F-9B77-548F37CFD6D7

I have a 1 year old PC that runs modern games at high quality, 32gb ram. It doesnt happen on any version of Classic or other way more intense games just retail. Any known fixes? Crashing 1-2x a day feels awful.

Probably a memory leak. I know there was a specific memory leak in retail that was supposedly fixed. If you know of a specific instance where it might be peaking, putting a bug report in would be idea.

What kind of CPU do you use?

Do you happen to do any combat logging.

As far as the CPU goes I have a 11th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i5-11400F @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz

It happens a lot in dungeons and battlegrounds. I even turned off every addon and just playing the game that way, which has been interesting, but it still occurs. I have task manager open on my 2nd monitor while I play and just idle in the city its never below 4,800 addon free. Lowered my graphic settings to a 3 as well and I have a 3070.

I do not combat log on retail. I livelog on cata classic and that game with all addons and livelog barely exceeds 2k

Driver new part of september.
From intel…

you dont update a CPU…

You update the instructions that it uses for communicating with the other components.

Would this be your suggestion in fixing? Willing to try anything

Not for a memory issue, no.

Just to be clear, turning off addons is not sufficient. You would need to backup your UI, then perform a UI reset to be sure it’s not them causing the issue.
