select all passives on the talent tree
you should have about 4 offensive spells and then can add a few utility spells.
my pally doesn’t even use crusader strike or consecrate, its all folded in and most classes can be set up minimally.

The irony is that people then just have an addon tell them exactly what buttons to press at what times. Take those prompts away and folks would be lost.
If you actually think the majority of people are using Hekilli and thats why they are performing well you are out of touch.
Those addons are also wrong lol
I’d love to be able to disagree with you (Based on long past fun experiences), but I can’t.
You are absolutely correct.
I hadn’t heard of that particular addon, but Curseforge has it downloaded almost 30 million times. Yeah, nobody uses it.
I was thinking of addons like Tellmewhen, Weakauras, and others. If you add up all of the various “prompter” addons out there it’s in the hundreds of millions of downloads.
At least be sincere in your delusions.
Thats 30 million bad players using it too.
None of those play the game for you. They just display the information in a better way.
At least have a clue before you comment.
Then, they’d play just as well without them, but we all know that’s not true. People have become dependent on addons to the point that they can’t play the game without them. It’s to the point that the game is designed with the idea that people will rely on a variety of addons. That’s great if you have a heavily customized UI, but it’s complicated for the sake of complexity. Not because it makes the game better.
No one thats good at the game uses hekilli
I think you dont have a clue what Weakauras actually does.
Yes because having information easily displayed versus watching a buff bar.
Thats been the case since Wrath.
Weakauras are easy to use. I have a pretty base UI. I dont use elvui or any heavy custom UIs
Nothing but excuses.
TellMeWhen playing the sound of a cat meowing every 20 seconds so I don’t have to stare at a dot timer isn’t exactly playing my whole class for me. That’s literally all I do with it haha I think if you aren’t hearing a cat meowing as you play the game you’re having a sub optimal gaming experience.
As for the whole topic at hand, there’s a lot of content in the game that’s accessible without being a pro gamer with 100 addons. I just ran a raid in WoW for the first time since Cataclysm the other day in LFR with some friends that either hadn’t raided in years or ever. We didn’t look at a single guide and well, it was honestly pretty easy. 99% of mechanics I just looked at what everyone else was doing and followed their lead.
I think I only died once or twice across all the wings? One was the final fight (didn’t know what to do with the debuff so I got deleted) and the other was a wipe where some people did a puddle mechanic wrong so we died to an enrage. (and someone explained it after so we didn’t wipe again) I’m sure I wasn’t god’s gift to gaming with perfect parses on my fury warrior, but the stuff died.
If you can walk out of an AOE and hit buttons you can do LFR fine. Aside from the final fight, the mechanics were pretty obvious. If you think your class has too many buttons you can always play one that doesn’t.
I dont know if i responded to this or not, but there are ways to talent things so you have less buttons to press.
Beastmaster, for example, just take nearly everything that is passive that you can and you still end up with a DPS beast, but less buttons to bang.
You can currently get a full 424 set just from Time Rifts.
You can also do the Fyrakk Assaults, the weekly quests, Researchers Under Fire, probably other things I’m missing.
Almost any Veteran or higher gear can be converted to tier gear for free at the catalyst.
For what it is worth, go que for Battlegrounds. Great way to learn your abilities
You can’t get the materials to upgrade gear to 424 with only doing Time Rifts.
Actually you can, it would just take a very long time if that’s ALL you did lmao. I think you get 1 drake fragment from the weekly Time Rift quest lol.
But you can also get them from things like the Fyrakk Assaults, Researchers Under Fire, I think the weekly quests, and then obv just M+6-10
Yeah.
I just did a Mythic +5 last night and it was actually pretty easy.
I am at 407 now so pushing up higher shouldn’t be too bad. I just need to learn the dungeons more and which enemies I need to interrupt, and how to dodge certain attacks so I don’t get clapped instantly.
But yeah the Time Rifts were huge for getting my tier set, but then I did LFR for a few weeks to get more pieces, and did a few mythic +2’s, and that was it so now I can start climbing up.
It’s really not hard at all.
For sure, between the LFR and normal gear you get from the dungeon weeklies, LFR, the vault, etc, you can get to a decent ilvl pretty easily in a few weeks.
Honestly the hardest part is just getting decent trinkets.
Also you can craft gear all the way up to 441. You get the Sparks of Shadowflame from lots of things that you can use to have someone craft you 424 gear. There’s no limit to how many pieces you can wear but you can only have 2 with embellishments (which are really strong).
Also if you do the whole Zaralek Cavern questline with Wrathion and Sabellian, you get an Enchanted Wyrm Crest which you can use to craft 437 gear! You get a second one at renown 20 with the Loamm Niffen. Hitting 20 with them the first time times a while, but on alts with the bonus you can hit 20 JUST from doing the Wrathion/Sabellian quests basically lol. So any alts can just do that questline and get two 437 pieces for free (well you have to get the rest of the crafting mats but it’s not too bad lol).
I think the high end can be difficult…but as long as you play within your skill range, you should be fine.
This game has never been better for the players with less time/skill issues imo. Lots of decent catch up, and it’s easier to gear.
it’s hard to say, since you are on a lvl 10 alt OP…but the last part of your post makes it sound like you are probably playing with players that don’t share the same goals as you.
gl though
How do I get crafted 424 gear?
I have like 10 of those Sparks of Shadowflame right now.
I went to the crafting orders and didn’t see anything above 400.
Is there some other way?
So if you’ve never done a crafting order before: you just search the item you want and then you place the order. So like if you go to leather armor and then a slot you can see what options there are (not everything is available through crafting orders just new stuff)
You’ll see what mats it needs and the different slots you can add upgrades. Like by default it’s 385, but the Imagination sparks make it up to 411 I think and then the Shadowflame Sparks make it up to 424, then 437 with the enchanted wyrm crest and 441 with an enchanted aspect crest. There’s also a slot to pick which stats you want, and one to add an embellishment. I think there’s a PVP slot too but I don’t really do that lol.
BUT, the item level is dependent on the crafting quality (like 1, 2, 3, 4 star or the legendary gem). So that’s why you’ll want to find someone in trade chat so you can do a personal order to them. Public crafting orders can’t have a required crafting quality, so you might end up with a lower item level piece.
If you set the crafting order to personal on the little drop down (it’ll be top right), you can see the different item levels. So I’d set it to the highest quality and then link that item in trade chat and ask if anyone can craft it. They will probably expect a decent tip though (Like 1-10k gold usually). Hope that helps!
Oh wow thanks.
Yeah I saw they were all like 385 and I thought that was it. I had no idea they could go up to 424.
Amazing! I am going to get a bunch of new gear tonight! Thanks
