Wow is too casual friendly(warning unpopular opinion)

VANILLA WOW CANT COME SOON ENOUGH

Remember the work it took to get into say raids for AQ back in the day ?if you didn’t have what it took you’d wallow with the rest of the bads and would not progress anymore . I miss those days. It was a lot of work but it was work that made you feel you accomplished something like this

Only thing that has ever come close to this is the mage tower, you were to bad to get it?too bad so sad it’s not coming back.

Devs need to crank up the difficulty to get gear and everything. And lfr sets need to be waaayyyy uglier than even normal and up.

Bring back the hardcore in us bliz

I really dont miss trying to coordinate the schedules of 40 people to spend hours killing bugs.

I support this message. I want mythic difficulty warfronts!

Vanilla WoW was ultra casual by MMO standards back in the day. The idea of WoW ever really being a hardcore experience for only the most dedicated of poopsockers is laughable.

I can understand wanting more meaningful time sinks though, since Vanilla was better at that.

Untrue, I remember being capped on my mage with sets like the netherwind one out of my reach

Coordinating schedules was a nightmare.
Poaching raiders was a real problem.
Backfilling slots was borderline impossible.

I don’t miss it. In a lot of ways leading raids in WoW is tougher than leading a team in the real world.

Good news. Classic will release this summer and you can return to herding 39 other cats.

And? Full Mythic raid sets in current tier are out of reach for lots of players. The goal post has changed.

In Vanilla through BC is was purples and tier, then it changed into Heroic quality items and item level as the new benchmark.

I was playing Final Fantasy 11 when WoW came out, you couldn’t go beyond level 12 solo if you were a new player, even then there were only 2 advanced classes that could have solo’d anything. It was super grindy and very hardcore, I’m glad WoW came out because it was driving me nutz.

Yeah but mythic sets are like lfr sets, same design in a world of ilvl that becomes obsolete it’s all about the aesthetic as much as item lvl

WoW was never difficult. Tedious, yes. Difficult, absolutely not. Stop lying to yourself.

4 example I l played maybe 4 hours max at lvl 120 on this pally, should not be any where near people who dedicate time and effort yet here we are.

Bruh you’re 370 iLvL and haven’t even done 2 bosses of BoD on LFR difficulty. You didn’t even do LFR Uldir.

I came to WoW from FFXI and yes, classic WoW was beyond casual compared to FFXI. Now? I don’t even know if there are words for it.

That’s why I maintain that those who play WoW now-a-days who weren’t around for vanilla are in for a big surprise.

Exactly, yet i can still take down the cutting edge in bgs should not happen and this is a very dusty alt

iLevel inflation is a real issue, sure. But people only doing LFR/WQs/Warfronts aren’t running around in gear with a minimum iLevel of 415 right now. It absolutely should be scaled back, but it doesn’t change the fact that harder content with higher skills caps isn’t present in the game.

they are, got 415 item things on other dusty alts from a mindless warfront , it’s obscene
