Wow is the only game i've seen that did the impossible and made dragons boring

Every dragon related history is just soap opera melodrama and is bland, i dont think i cared about a single dragon this expansion.
There’s also the fact that wow dragons are not threatening at all, most of them are killed like cattle by the djaradins, who are just guys with spears.
The only good dragons arent exacly dragons, protodrakes and rylaks from wod are more “dragon-like” than any of the flights we have.
I’m just disapointed i guess, its insane that one of the most iconic fantasy creatures are lame as hell in wow.

you not caring about them is not the same as them being boring.

because your opinion is not relevant to anyone else but yourself.

the iconic tail-swipe is sadly missing from all of them though. :frowning:

They certainly ruined the mystique of the aspects. Kinda killed their lore as well (not fully… yet)

I would argue that dragons are just boring in general. They’re like, THE most generic fantasy thing you can bring into a story, so they’ve been done to death and back 10 times over by now. WoW isn’t gonna be the thing that makes them anything other than generic.

I do like the Azeroth version of dragons, but sometimes I wish they were a bit more like how Fyrakk is.

Just burning a path across an entire freakin’ map.

I agree with you to a certain point. But every dragon-related historyline this expansion is just another “Me dragon sad”.

Tbh I thought the quests were alright but nothing in all of Dragonflight so far really stands out to me. Nothing particularly funny, nothing particularly badass, I know people criticize the writing in this game and say it’s never been good, but I think that’s particularly true for Dragonflight.

I’m not overwhelmed, not underwhelmed, just whelmed.

Probably doesn’t help that literally every dragon in the game uses the exact same model, just different colors. Aspects are the only ones that are unique but they’re boring as hell like every other dragon.

i was sad at the mis-handling of Deathwing.

You don’t enjoy reading Deathwing’s fanfic journal?

My god, that was so cringe my brain had blocked it for me. Thanks for the reminder :rage:.

All im saying is how to tame a dragon movie

Woah now, how dare you! How to train your Dragon had way more huevos than any of the dragons in this game.

Yea i couldnt remember the name of the movie, it is how to train your dragon

But we do need a badass dragon scene for the Aspects. So far all we’ve got was Vin Diesel Family Blue Dragons, Nozdormu being a Hot Topic teenager about his future, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air brothers Black Dragons complete with Uncle Phil Ebyssian, and I don’t even remember what the Greens were doing probably smearing Teldrassil ash all over themselves or something, and then the “IS THAT AN EGG?!?!” Red Dragons (who constantly get the :poop: kicked out of them).

That’s because Dracthyr are dragonkin. They are experiments with pieces from all the flights mashed together.

The what now?

Valdrakken, at least the top of it where the Aspects sit, should be empty.

Kinda gives off the vibe all this stuff is going down in the world, and leadership sits there doing nothing.

On second thought, it’s very realistic lmao.

FF14’s dragon-themed expansion was definitely better than WoW’s, but WoW’s isn’t finished yet.

Heavensward was just really good, and I doubt that even finished WoW could compete story-wise.

Deathwing did it. it’s been done before. Also, we’re again in the realm of super-villains.

Fyrakk is awesome
