Looking at the new abilities that bypass the need for a mouse to play the game, and it’s getting even closer to a reality that wow will be on consoles soon. Specifically, Xbox consoles. This will theoretically give Wow re-surgency in popularity. Maybe even up to Wrath level success. Think about all those console players that would play and get drawn into wow. That’s a huge install base.

I thought I read awhile ago that Blizzard had something crazy like 100,000,000 WoW accounts created.
That’s a lot. I think folks who wanted to try this have already have.
Xbox may bring some back, but not all.

I’d be surprised if it didn’t. Apparently dragon riding works a treat with a controller.

I imagine there’s a huge number of console players that just aren’t PC gamers at all, and have never tried it. Putting Wow on Xbox would be huge for the game. I think people may be sleeping on how big of an impact that may turn out to be.

FF14 has been playable on consoles for years. Wow can absolutely be played on console. They just need a controller UI for it.
With the Microsoft acquisition, I would say it’s more than probable at this point. I suspect the expansion after Dragonflight will release on Xbox.

While this is possible, i think they are more doing this for accessability then anything else. People had been pushing controller support for a longvwhile according to console ports discord.

Would love it if I could just replace my PC with a much cheaper XBOX but still use a BT keyboard and mouse…

If WoW got put on Xbox, I would buy an Xbox. Right now though PS5 > Xbox
Exactly, that’s my logic too. Hate buying a $2000+ PC when only game I play is WoW
