WoW is getting owned by Valheim

Not in anyway accurate. The only thing connecting it to wow is the fact it’s online. It’s not like skyrim at all.

It’s like minecraft sure, but minecraft is trash.

Valheim won’t even cause a hiccup for wow.

It’s true. This game blew up practically overnight, or over a few weeks.

Meanwhile Shadowlands is dead on arrival lol.

A week to two weeks depending on the effort and amount of people. And then you have nothing to do and move on to something else.

Excessive timegating is bad but some timegating is necessary or players will burn through all available content in the span of a week before screaming “THERES NOTHING TO DO!”

Cool story. Go post on the Valheim forums.

This is kind of funny.

People constantly bring this sort of thing… yes, a new fad game is going to crush older games while it is a fad. But eventually its popularity will stabilize.

Just like Fall Guys, just like Among Us, etc. etc. etc.

It’s also one of the most popular games in the world.

I’d argue that WoW is greater trash because even kids won’t touch WoW, but love Minecraft.

People already do that though after a week of Shadowlands.

So…it’s the leveling experience of WoW?

Oh that was the fun bit.

Yeah that’s what I’m saying, like people don’t get timegating has its purpose, can it be over used, absolutely, but not using results in games being cleared immediately and never touched again.

As Valheim shows quite clearly.

You know you could just quit the game you think shouldn’t exist. Why play something that should be “put down”?

Yeah doesn’t the fact that greater than 41% left the game means Shadowlands did even worse?

Especially given it’s a game you don’t ‘beat’ but are basically “stuck with” for at least two years?

And yet most people who bought it left within the first two months.

What a weird thread. By OPs logic, WoW is getting owned by a ton of games lol. More copies of GTA 5 have been sold vs the number of accounts created in WoW throughout it’s entire lifetime.

Literally means nothing lol.

Actually shadowlands broke sales records for like a month and blew up for weeks. Now it’s on the downswing sure. The difference is people will remember wow after the downswing.

Valheim will be forgotten like every other fad game that blows up for a few weeks.

Psst so is wow.

Well wow isn’t a kids game and minecraft is so you know…

Uh I haven’t touched this game for some time.

I’ve been replaying Classic. Much more fun.

Remember Among Us? Remember Fall Guys?

Both of those games were huge. Now I don’t hear about them unless someone makes a meme in one of the discord servers I’m in.

What the hell is Valheim?

WoW, and Blizzard, are seen as trash as a whole to gamers though.

Have you seen the Reddit at all recently? They had Bobby Kotick photoshopped as Gallywix lmfao

I’d be glad to step back from a product I like if it meant the people making it were treated better.

Simply put, supporting Blizzard right now makes me feel dirty because I know who it’s really helping out, and it’s not the devs.
