WoW installs some long update every time I play it after moving the folder from C to D

I moved my World of Warcraft game from C:\ to D:\
I did it by copying and pasting the World of Warcraft folder from C Drive to D so everything should have transferred fine. The download folder in the game settings also shows D:\World of Warcraft.

I have played it several times but each time to go to play it it installs an update that takes like 20 minutes. Like it’s not saving a ton of data, or the latest patch, between playing it and closing the game despite the download folder showing the correct location of the game. I’m not sure why… Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like it was corrupted during the move. Likely will need to run the repair tool or reinstall to stop it from doing that.
