2022 is the real change. Shadowlands is more of the same and its basically a microwaved Legion.
Legion was a nice roast beef
BFA was a cold roast beef slowly beginning to rot
Shadowlands is a peice of that already cooked legion roast beef thrown into the microwave. Its deformed now.
Basically its the same content and ideas for 6 years fed differently.
Its the same stuff for 6 years. That means in 2022 the big revamps and overhauls will come. Back to real power we gain over time and achievement, not power that we get from throwaway expansion content and borrowed power meant to get thrown away in a continuos 2 year cycle. Making the developers feel like giving insane fluctuations of power and imbalance is temporarily ok. Its like wiping the slate clean everytime because you are lazy and just want to create a new system to slice and dice up. Mess up and wipe it off the map again in 2 years.
Covenants wont mean anything in 2022, they will be old content and power that is GONE. That design philosophy needs to end.
Save this topic and come back in 2 years in 2022. Watch
blizz memes on you by deleting this whole forum like they did with the archive of GD before the forum got updated just so people can’t pull up this thread, like the many other threads that predicted with some accuracy that BFA was going to fail with systems that had no attention in beta.
LOL gotcha… Yeah I quit after wotlk and came back nealy 10 years later during the last month of legion and quit in bfa 8.2 then went to classic because I saw what became of the blizzard content philosophy
Legion was a steaming pile of dogstt and I can’t take anyone seriously that doesn’t recognize that fact.
While we had RNG before, Legion made it part of game design to have RNG behind RNG behind RNG behind RNG behind RNG. We had RNG before, not eight layers of it. It passed muster in Legion and infects everything in BfA. This is the future of WoW??
Simple fact of the matter is, regardless of you wanting other people not to like it… it was fun. Legion worked. The underlying systems may fail when not implemented well, but with Legion they worked. The raids were fun. Mythic+ was fun. The artifacts felt awesome.
You can hate Legion all you want but you are an anomaly.
A legendary has been in somewhere since the very start. Since mop(cloak) all classes had a targeted legendary. It will always be in the game in some form or another
I honestly hope this whole timeskip rumor is just some bad fan idea floating around rather than Blizzard seeding the community with their locked-in bad idea to make a time skip happen in the hopes it’s more acceptable.
Because, by golly, a time skip would be the worst. Baaaaaaad.
