2007: Buy expansion, get blood elves and Draenei included.
Now: Buy Expansion, grind for races you didn’t even want if you’re alliance.

why did you grind for them then?
lmao can yall believe diaper babies are a thing
Good observation! Want a gold star?
2007: One race per faction.
2020: fives races per faction.
What a fun game to play of observation!
As usual the hostile horde has come to deflect from the situation, purely because they didn’t get screwed in the allied race department.
/yawn.
Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t realize judging people based on their faction meant their opinions were lesser or more. Let me fix that.
2007: One race per faction.
2020: five races per faction, with varying degrees of popularity, but also still five new races per faction.
Wow, what an equally fun game of observation!
Yeah, why bother grinding for races you don’t want? Also if you played the game when the reps were relevant, you probably would have the reps grinded out anyway. If you don’t like the races then don’t play them. Make your complaints about how you dont like the allied races and make suggestions for ones that you would like instead of complaining about their acquisition methods.
Also, aside from mechagnomes of course, both factions got pretty good new races. The dark irons and the mag’har are pretty awesome. The higmountain and the lightforged draenei are barely any different from their base races. Void elves at least got customization while Nightborne are the pathetic mess we got. I think Kul’tirans are pretty neat. I’d play one if I played Alliance enough to unlock them.
But yeah, I agree there’s really no comparison between vulpera and mechagnomes. Alliance needs something better next time.
I mean, I’ve heard of free range children, but I’ve never seen one, they almost always have diapers until they’re potty trained.
Ohhhh you were taking weak jab at mechagnomes. Got it. Sorry, I didn’t know that meme was still relevant.
I mean, allied races didn’t need to be locked behind timegation. They could have been released and open to everyone. It’s not an entirely meaningless point to make.
And let’s be honest, it seemed implied that with BFA came these new, allied races. Many BFA players felt and kind of were duped.
well now you know. glad to bring awareness
Yes… awareness. That’s what you brought. lol
2007: Do long quest chains to unlock raids.
Now: Walk right into a raid soon as it drops.
lul, being racist towards fictional races is a new one for me!
It was something Blizzard tried that was new. Like the rest of BfA, it didn’t pan out well. But it was always broadcasted that you had to work for the reputation to play them. Never said exalted or other requirements, but Blizzard never said play from the get go as the new races.
They experimented and it didn’t go well. They didn’t intentionally dupe anyone.

Fair point, but the people invested in BfA (Most people, I think) were willing to put in the work, even if they did feel duped.
In their advertising at the time, did they allude at all to what was involved in unlocking these races? That’s to say, having a level 120 already, having to do many quests and earn a lot of reputation? It seemed a little intentionally dishonest or an intentional omission of these facts.
That’s true.
i dont have anything personal against mechagnomes, but yall should have been a cosmetic option like straight backed orcs compared to an entire new race like midget fox people.
