My settings doesn’t even have the option for 1440p…does it only appear if you have a monitor for it???
generally.
I tried to enable amd super resolution (artificial resolutions above your display’s native) but even that doesn’t work.
You can use the resolution scale though to increase the resolution to give you the same effect.
Note that I’m assuming that 2560x1440 is the resolution you’re talking about — a few different resolutions are referred to as “1440p”.
Generally WoW will only show resolutions that your monitor supports, so for example if your monitor tops out at 1920x1080 you won’t see 2560x1440.
Aspect ratio factors into this too. So for instance if you have a 30" 16:10 2560x1600 monitor like were popular before the rise of 16:9, you might only see the option for 2560x1600, not 2560x1440. Similarly, you won’t see an option for 21:9 or 32:9 ultrawide “1440p” resolutions on monitors with aspect ratios that don’t match.
Basically this.
Just wait for the first time you see wow playing on an ultra-wide 4K screen. I am actually amazed that the world can render that way.
