Hello!
Looking for feedback from people who used Immersion or actively use it.
From the video from what I assume is the author, it looks interesting but I cant tell… Is the addon changing the text or just presenting it differently? Is the new text box that pops up summarizing what is being told, and potentially losing anything about the story in the process? I cant see the original text from Blizzard and the Immersion version of it to compare to.
The quest reward presentation looks pretty cool from what I have seen so far. Maybe I would be better off just doing quests with 2 different characters and comparing to see the difference. I had planned to play through all quests, insane as that is, to really read through stuff but I dont want to do this with the addon just to find out that I might have missed some thing etc.
Thanks for the feedback!
I’ve been using the addon since Legion.
It doesn’t change quest text at all, it’s purely presentation. It uses line breaks in the quest text to determine how to break it up.
It’s a great addon, not just for the way it shows quest text and rewards, but because it allows you page through the quest text and accept with the keyboard, which is really nice. Playing without it and having to use the mouse to accept feels clunky now.

Thats what I was hoping to hear thank you Chroesire! I will probably try it out with one of the many characters I have planned next.

It doesn’t change anything but the window you receive the text. It’s one of the better add-ons available and I highly recommend it if you life reading the quests.
Off topic: I have noticed the creator of this addon seems like a bit of a jerk though when reading through the comments on curse awhile back.
Blizzard needs to make this default imo.

I highly recommend using this. It might feel a little weird at first, but here’s some tips:
1). Quest text is broken into paragraphs. If there’s more than one paragraph, you’ll see a pagination like 1/5, 2/5, etc…, and the add on will automatically run through the pages in an appropriate time (which you can set by typing /immersion).
2). You can right click the text box to skip to the next page. Once you hit the max page, another right click will bring you back to the first page, so I use this just incase if I missed out on something.
3). Left click the text box to accept quest.
4). For shop keepers, or quest with dialogue options, you will still be able to select the sub-options through additional text boxes that appear on the center right side of your screen.
5). You can adjust the text box positions by unchecking the ‘Lock Frame Position’ with /immersion
There’s other options that I haven’t played around with, but overall I’d say to just try it out. I use a bigger monitor for gaming as well, so the default quest UI doesn’t really work for me. I like to keep things centered.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.
Excited to use it and thanks for clarifying how some of the interface actually works like accepting quests etc.
