WoW immediately stops responding on launch (new)

I posted this in the Davinci forum, it looks like I might get better help here:

Davinci Resolve Install Breaks World of Warcraft

I’ve determined that the Davinci Resolve 18.6 install breaks all of my Blizzard games. All used to run fine when run from the launcher program before install, and now show as “Not Responding” after install. I have tried every fix available and nothing helps. I’ve also uninstalled Davinci Resolve, the control panel and the C++ redistributable and still broken. This has been done on three different computers with the exact same results.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks
Max

ok…so I’ve narrowed down an error code that is consistent on all three machines that Davinci was installed on and now exhibit the Battle.net issue.
In the Battle.net Logs folder is this error code:

[0311/081830.671:ERROR:component_installer.cc(356)] Failed to read manifest or verify installation for Widevine Content Decryption Module (See:\Users\woohoo\AppData\Local\CEF\User Data\WidevineCdm\4.10.2710.0).: The system cannot find the path specified. (0x3)

I have a PC that still runs (no Davinci install) and this error code is not present.

In chrome components I see that Widevine is installed and up to date but I’m not familiar with this component or its function.
Any thoughts?

Many software packages are causing this… Sophos, Avast, and no Davinci Resolve is identified.

Its been going on for weeks and they haven’t even responded to any of this, so dont hold your breath… vote with your wallet

I have Sophos too but it was the Davinci Resolve install that seems to have broken it. Three machines worked fine, installed Davinci Resolve and immediately all three machines don’t work and yield the same error code in the Battle.net Logs folder. Widevine has something to do with AV so it can’
t be just a coincidence.
