WoW Hotfixes - Updated December 16

The walking on water WorldQuest in Thaldraszus with the fishes was bugged yesterday.

Another round of hot fixes… still can’t use tiered medallion settings on the obsidian collar.

There’s lag in Azure Span at all times, whether there’s a community feast or not. Heck, I feel more lag when I’m questing, gathering or dragon-riding in the area than when I’m doing the community feast.

Some of us were discussing it in the general channel, and it was zone wide lag for everyone and the community feast wasn’t even active.

When are you going to do a bug fix for all the paladins bugs ive reported for the past 4 months. You are either too slow or not even reading my posts to not have fixed them already. Come on, prot is the most bugged spec in the game since beta and still has barely any fixes to its bugs.

Yeah, I wish they’d been clearer on that. I assumed Daily, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. At a minimum, it should be bi-weekly.

Hey all! Here are today’s hotfixes.

    • Mage

      • Fire
        • [With weekly restarts] Combustion can no longer be dispelled.
          • Developers’ note: We feel that the counterplay to Combustion, a major self-cast offensive cooldown, did not feel appropriate as it was easily dispelled. We are hoping with this change that it will prompt more creative solutions to counterplay the ability. We didn’t want to make this change previously, due to balance concerns, but now feel it is an appropriate time to bring it in line with other major cooldowns.

      • Protection

      • Subtlety
        • [With weekly restarts] The Rotten damage bonus for Backstab and Shadowstrike reduced to 30% in PvP combat (was 50%).
          • Developers’ note: Shadowstrike was hitting too hard, leaving minimum room for counterplay for opponents and taking too much damage in a single stun.
    • Warrior

      • Fury
        • [With weekly restarts] Bloodthirst now restores 2% of your health in PvP combat (was 3%).
        • [With weekly restarts] Slaughterhouse now decreases healing taken by 3% per stack (was 5% per stack).

  • Solo Shuffle
    • [With weekly restarts] With Season 1’s start, the minimum PvP item level to queue for Rated Solo Shuffle is 408.

Professions

  • Jewelcrafting
    • [With weekly restarts] Stats granted by the Elemental Lariat’s equip effect reduced by 5% and it can no longer have multiple bonuses up simultaneously. This change does not negatively impact proc rates or buff uptime.
      • Developers’ note: Many players have their sights set on the Elemental Lariat as one of their first Spark of Ingenuity crafts as it becomes available tomorrow. Upon further investigation, this turned out to be slightly stronger than intended and we have adjusted it to better match our expectations. We wanted to ensure these changes were in before players invested their valuable resources into acquiring it so everyone can make an informed decision about whether to create this item.

User Interface and Accessibility

  • Fixed an issue where hidden spells in Azmerloth were being printed in the combat log.

M+ isn’t even out yet and you’re nerfing Prot Warrior this hard? Why are we even doing big nerfs like this before S1 even starts? This is a bit much don’t you think?

Any plans for the quest Re-rebuilding the AFMOD not appearing for some players? Still isn’t showing up even with all requirements completed.

It’s not that bad. Tanks are doing end of expansion mitigation at the start of an expansion. It’s very much needed.

I walked into M0 at 315 and was taking no damage.

Warriors will still sit at the top of damage mitigation rankings as Kings.
As I’ve said before: Warriors can maintain 100% uptime on Shield Block and Ignore pain with current builds. So something needed to be done.

I’m all for tanks taking more damage, but please also address passive healing that was nerfed with the HP buff. We have spells and abilities that are Att% which do next to no actual healing. We will need this as damage scales with harder content and we become super spikey down the line.

Also, please consider bringing WoG back OFF the GCD.

all this, and yet, here i am at level 70, and NONE of the rares i killed when i was leveling up my main have reset, yet! when the frag are you gonna fix THAT problem, blizzard?

Thanks for the new demon hunter nerfs , like Michael Jackson sang : THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT US!!!

Please buff rest shaman please

Clearly not enough, should be 100% why would a class that can end and restart the fight every time they want, have a passive healing effect? is retarded with all due respect completely retarded, it should only work with shadow dance and reduced by 80% on PvP combat and make them take 5% of their health every 1s while they are on stealth, fix it asap

ROGUES SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY KIND OF HEALING, why is that so hard to understand???

not enough should be 90%, that’s a spell to agro far mobs why tf should it do damage?

Obsidian collar socket still not fixed? Awesome.

I fully support the nerf of tanks, let them get out of the arena. They tank their dungeons and carry flags on the rating battlefields, mediocrity.

The Hunt changes are so awful that I might die IRL next time I tank a non-elite.
