So according to their follow-up post, they’re just being gameplay police again and telling us how we should be engaging with their content. They’re ignoring that this is only a problem to their own, personal optics, and that they themselves caused it by making the rares weekly/bi-weekly. The reason no one is lining up to kill rares is because some people already have them done for the period, and those who don’t have them done yet don’t amount to enough to get anything done. This is further exacerbated by them being old content, meaning the only people interested in killing them want to do so for non-player power related reasons, cutting the number of interested people down even further.
Populated zones are nice, but a player being able to just set a goal and reach it is better. This is the kind of change that you should revert until you have other facets in place to make it functional, until then the zones will just become even more barren than they already are.
I had already given up on Forbidden Reach and Zaralek Caverns rares and their cosmetics since they are impossible to solo, instead saving my sanity and pledging to just go back next expansion when they (hopefully) would be soloable.
To see that instead of making them easier to solo they’re making them harder to even FIND let alone kill… It just doesn’t make any sense. Why?
Wtf was that change on Yazma? I get it the rest of it but Yazma is already a hard boss now you make Wracking Pain can’t be interruptable? Please nerf the damage of Wracking Pain then
That’s not a hotfix, that’s a hotbreak. Let me also add a comment from wowhead:

So, let me get this: if I want to complete the achievement for killing the rares while transformed as a crab, now I have to
1- Wait for the crab to spawn
2- Spend 20mins killing it
3- Pray the claw drops
4- Go to the spawn point of one of the rares I need to kill
5- Wait for the spawn.
6- Engage the rare and use the claw before I kill it, because the claw has 10min duration but you can’t solo a rare in that time because of the high HP.
