Hello everyone! Here are the hotfixes from today.
JULY 13, 2021
Classes
- Hunter
- Fixed an issue where Mongoose Bite and Serpent Sting were not properly increased in damage by 10%.
- Monk
- Windwalker
- Fixed an interaction between Storm, Earth and Fire and Spinning Crane Kick that dealt more damage than intended.
- Paladin
- Fixed an issue where Vanquisher’s Hammer (Necrolord Ability) was consuming Divine Purpose (Talent).
- Retribution
- Fixed an issue that could unintentionally allow the primary target of Judgement to be damaged by Lawbringer’s (PvP Talent) effect.
- Priest
- Holy
- Fixed an issue where Spirit of Redemption was not properly resolving after Forgeborne Reveries (Bonesmith Heirmir Soulbind).
Covenants
- Soulbinds
- Necrolord
- Damage will now remove Sulfuric Emission’s (Emeni) fear effect.
Creatures and NPCs
- Reduced the health of Mor’geth and his Soul Cages by 38%. Additionally, Soul Cages can no longer be Death Gripped.
Dungeons and Raids
- Sanctum of Domination
- Eye of the Jailer
- On Mythic difficulty, using immunities such as Divine Shield could put players in a bad state where they had cleared their Scorn or Ire debuff but may not be able to control what debuff would be reapplied once the immunity wore off. Now using immunities will temporarily immune the damage but will not clear Scorn or Ire debuffs.
- Soulrender Dormazain
- Unleashed Tyranny damage reduced by 17% on Mythic difficulty.
- Echoing Screams now ticks every 2 seconds (was 5 seconds) on all difficulties, with damage proportionally reduced on Normal, Heroic, and Raid Finder difficulties to keep total damage over time unchanged.
- Echoing Screams damage reduced by an additional 10% on Mythic difficulty.
- Developers’ notes: The bursts of damage from Unleashed Tyranny on Mythic difficulty could combine with Echoing Screams ticks to cause unreasonable damage spikes relative to the healing burden of the fight otherwise. These changes are aimed to smooth out those spikes.
- Painsmith Raznal
- Blackened Armor duration has been reduced.
- Shadowsteel Ember damage reduced by 25% on Normal difficulty.
- Slightly increased the time it takes for Shadowsteel Embers to reach their impact location on Normal and Heroic difficulties.
- Extended the encounter’s enrage timer on Normal and Heroic difficulties.
- Fixed an issue causing Flameclasp Trap to sometimes prioritize tanks over other targets.
- Kel’Thuzad
- Dark Evocation will now only be cast once when his energy reaches 40% and will not refresh until the boss regains 100% energy.
- Reduced the size of the exit portal visual in the Phylactery.
- Shadow Fissures now appear closer to players.
- Reduced the number of Frostbound Devoted corpses that are available to revive.
- Vengeful Destruction now properly functions as a wipe mechanic.
- The Adventure Guide entry for Glacial Winds now displays the proper health threshold of 20% to begin casting the ability.
- The Adventure Guide entry for Vengeful Destruction now displays the correct amount of health the Remnant needs to lose in order to interrupt the cast.
- Sylvanas Windrunner
- The total damage players must deliver to Sylvanas Windrunner has been reduced by approximately 5% in Normal and Heroic difficulties.
- Sylvanas Windrunner now transitions out of Stage 1 at 84% on Normal and Heroic difficulties.
- Developers’ notes: We felt that players were losing too much uptime due to mechanics, and getting out of the first phase much later than originally anticipated, so this is meant to curtail the length of the encounter without affecting difficulty too much.
- Veil of Darkness radius has been reduced in the third stage of the encounter.
- Banshee Wail and Banshee Scream radius reduced.
- Developers’ notes: Our goal here was to help ease the space constraints imposed by larger raid sizes, without substantially reducing the difficulty of the encounter.
- Defeated players will now be correctly moved to the first platform at the start of Stage 3.
- Dispelling Banshee’s Bane with single-charge dispels now removes all stacks.
- Mawforged Souljudge’s Lashing Strike initial cooldown increased.
- Sylvanas Windrunner is now immune to Curse of Tongues.
- Combat resurrection cooldown timers now take the duration of the mid-fight cinematic into account.
- Developers’ notes: We don’t want players to feel like there’s a penalty to your battle rez if you skip the cinematic.
- Mythic+
- Tormented Affix
- Oro Coldheart’s Biting Cold damage reduced by 25%.
- Incinerator Arkolath’s Melt Soul now increases Fire damage taken by 50% (was 100%).
- Fixed an issue where Tormented anima powers could proc from non-damaging spells.
- Mists of Tirna Scithe
- Tred’ova
- Fixed an issue that could sometimes cause Mind Link to become stuck on players.
- Tazavesh, the Veiled Market
- Defeating So’Leah when the party is set to raid will now grant credit towards “Tazavesh: Raiders of the Lost Artifact.”
- Zo’phex the Sentinel
- Fixed an issue where Armed Security would sometimes not disappear when the encounter is reset.
- So’azmi
- Relocators will now move to fixed positions prior to each Shuri cast and remain there until told to move to another fixed location later.
Items and Rewards
- Shards of Domination bonuses now scale with the level of the associated Shards. More details can be found in this forum thread.
- Several Sanctum of Domination trinkets have had their power adjusted. All values mentioned here are for the item level 226 version of these items, but higher item level versions have also been updated proportionally.
- Titanic Ocular Gland now grants 117 of your highest secondary stat (was 112).
- Tome of Monstrous Constructions now grants your damaging abilities a very high chance to deal 507 additional Shadow damage to your studied foe (was 467).
- Shadowed Orb of Torment now grants 432 Mastery (was 268).
- Ebonsoul Vise can now critically strike, is improved by your Haste, and deals damage immediately on application. Its damage over time effect has been reduced to 781 (was 1,324).
- Salvaged Fusion Amplifier now causes your attacks to have a very high chance to deal 1,290 Arcane damage (was 1,189).
- The quest items that unlock the covenant flying mounts, Spring Wilderling, Foresworn Aquillon, and Mastercraft Gravewing should now drop for members of their appropriate covenants regardless of Renown level. These mounts will now work the same way as the Necrolord rare Lord of the Corpseflies egg drop works.
- The Vengeance mount now correctly appears in the Mythic Adventure Guide.
- The Sanctum Gloomcharger mount now has a chance to drop from The Nine on all difficulties.
- The Mailemental summoned by the Miniscule Mailemental in an Envelope trinket will be more reliable and have fewer long periods of contemplation.
- Shaded Stone Statue and Porous Stone Statue now share cooldowns with combat potions.
- Reaching Combatant now awards the correct Unchained Gladiator’s Greatcloak transmog for the plate set.
Quests
- Fixed an issue where Tower Inquisitor sometimes would not spawn for the quest “Rule 3: Trust is Earned.”
Torghast, Tower of the Damned
- Fixed an issue where players who were disconnected from the game were removed from the party.
- Anima Powers
- Priest
- Voidwraith Signet will no longer summon a Void Wraith upon killing a trivial or summoned enemy.
I’m sorry but who thought priest was too strong in torghast… it’s a joke compared to almost any other class and now you nerf the one good power priest has
Of all the Shadow Priest nerfs, patch after patch, the two that targeted Voidwraith Signet are the ones that have left the most bitter of tastes in my mouth. Torghast is supposed to be about fun. These past two Voidwraith nerfs have convinced me that one of you clowns just straight up hate Shadow Priests.
That’s nice and all, but what about the line of sight bug? Ranged are having trouble even being able to attack.
An additional hotfix went out for Painsmith Raznal yesterday that we’ll be adding to the hotfix post later today.
Dungeons and Raids
- Sanctum of Domination
- Painsmith Raznal
- Shadowsteel Chains now prefer ranged players.
cool thanks
Today’s hotfixes are now ready for viewing!

- Developers’ notes: As the denizens of Azeroth have progressed through The Maw, they’ve gained powers to thwart most of the Jailer’s punishing effects, with the notable exception of losing Stygia upon death. We’re making it so that players can now reduce the potential Stygia loss with a new item called Treatise: Bonds of Stygia in Mortals, which will be available at Tier 4 with The Archivists’ Codex.
- Winds of Winter (Shards of Domination Rune Word) will more accurately record all critical hit values.
- So’leah’s Secret Technique can no longer be used on players outside of the party or raid.

Sure wish you would remove the cap on anima, THOUSANDS building up in my bank & bags that I have nothing to spend on. already bought all the mog I care for atm, and the mounts from the path thing are not important enough to me to spend HOURS trying to complete a single level of that mess…
add more stuff that we can buy with it…let us send it to alts…or
PLEASE, just remove the cap on how much we can store in the covenant.
Here are the hotfixes from today.

JULY 16, 2021
Classes
- Hunter
- Fixed an issue preventing allies from gaining the secondary duration increase for Aspect of the Cheetah granted by Cheetah’s Vigor (Conduit) when using Hunting Pack (PvP Talent).
- Paladin
- Fixed an issue where Divine Resonance (Runecarving Power) would not cast Holy Shock while sitting.
- Warlock
- Demonology
- Fel Obelisk (PvP Talent) will now affect all Warlock class spells, including glyphed versions of their summon spells, Summon Vilefiend (Talent), and Call Fel Lord (PvP Talent).
Covenants
- Soulbinds
- Necrolord
- Fixed an issue where Plague Deviser Marileth’s Undulating Maneuvers broke crowd control effects through delayed damage.
- Night Fae
- Fixed an issue where Korayn’s Hold the Line was taking longer than 5 seconds to trigger.
- Fixed an issue where Niya’s Swift Patrol would disrupt the timing of auto-attacks.
Dungeons and Raids
- Tazavesh, the Veiled Market
- Mailroom Mayhem
- Unstable Goods that are on the ground are no longer automatically picked up when players approach, and instead must be clicked on to pick them up. Unstable Goods that are thrown can still be caught by other players if they’re not already carrying Unstable Goods.
- Developers’ note: Since Tazavesh opened last week, many players have struggled to consistently pick up Unstable Goods. This issue has proven particularly elusive to track down, but we believe we’ve isolated the cause and are trying out a fairly substantial change to address it.
Items and Rewards
- Shards of Domination
- Shard of Zed now only triggers in combat.
- Shard of Zed now only triggers from class abilities.
- Developers’ note: This will prevent it from triggering when using many items which are generally inconvenient for it, like Invisibility Potions.
- Shard of Zed now more smartly filters what targets it attempts to drain life from.
Torghast, Tower of the Damned
- Anima Powers
- Druid
- Fixed an issue where Celestial Spirits (Runecarving Power) could unintentionally reduce the cooldown of Convoke the Spirits (Night Fae Ability) to 0 seconds when equipping multiple Coalesced Spirit Droplet anima powers in Torghast, Tower of the Damned.
Why was this a problem? I didn’t get to use that combo, but it sounds fun and no more OP than the monk Vivify or shaman Healing Rain powers.
As much as it is cliche, this definitely feels like a “fun detected” moment. In torghast, where your powers are sandboxed from the rest of the game, they decide to nerf something that realistically wasn’t that OP compared to a bunch of other torghast builds I’ve seen.
Also the luck you need to get all 3 of the cooldown powers as well as having the 1 minute CD legendary… I’m just confused why Blizz would go after this in particular. Isn’t torghast meant to be fun?
animation but , monks can balance on 1 foot ;\
it seems like somethin that would tempt people to enter a Layer beyond their iLvl means & ‘survey’ for the mega-combo from Prowl , abandoning a run without appreciating any of the other anima power synergies that might come their way .
there are definitely some strong combos available - but , 0 CD convoke totally defeats the purpose of strategizing trinkets etc for strong uses of Convoke - since repetitious casts of Convoke build the power of further casts , !!! (by virtue of . . .whats it called . . … the passive , the sun / moon balance thing . .
it’s
…
Eclipse i tink !!
I wish worgen racial was a 1.5 min cd jump just like goblin racial
It’s shorter cd and better and both are for mobility. Also worgen like to jump around a lot it would make since if their racial was a jump instead. Besides, they already have running wild to be fast… and darkflight is just underwhelming
Furries aren’t allowed to have good racials I guess…
Hello everyone! Here are today’s hotfixes, which includes some nice additions like making the socket adding item and conduit upgrade item on Archivist Roh-Suir account-bound.
JULY 20, 2021
Classes
- Mage
- Arcane
- Fixed an issue with the Clearcasting effect gained from Mirrors of Torment (Venthyr Ability) not granting the effects of Amplification while Arcane Empowerment is talented in PvP.
- Priest
- When Mass Dispel dispels multiple targets, the order of dispels is now random.
Dungeons and Raids
- Sanctum of Domination
- Defeating Sylvanas on any difficulty will now always drop a Shard of Domination for players who do not yet have all possible Shards.
- Remnant of Ner’zhul
- The pendulum around the Penance of the Fallen King swings once again.
- Mythic+
- Fixed an issue that could cause small discrepancies in how Mythic+ Rating is displayed in different User Interface elements.
Items and Rewards
- Shards of Domination
- Scouring Touch no longer incorrectly removes stealth type effects from the caster when applied to targets.
- The amount of Anima dropped by bosses in the Sanctum of Domination is now affected by achievements earned by upgrading your Covenant Sanctum.
- The Treatise: The Study of Anima and Harnessing Every Drop should now work on Korthia dailies, rares, and treasures as well as the Covenant Maw Assault quests.
- Developers’ note: The original goal was for the Treatise items to give you bonuses when returning to the 4 non-Maw zones or to the Maw proper for the Stygia Treatise. Korthia was themed to be part of the Maw during development and so it was not included. However, since we didn’t clarify that well and Korthia is abundant in Anima having not originated in the Maw, we are enabling this item’s bonus there as well. Looking forward, the Treatise: Relics Abound in the Shadowlands awarded at Tier 6 with The Archivists’ Codex only works on the four original zone factions as a bonus to players who want a way to speed up their reputation with these factions.
- The new socket adding item, Alloy-Warping Facetor and conduit upgrade item, Death-Bound Shard should now be purchasable by all characters on your account from Archivist Roh-Suir once one character has reached Tier 6 Research.
- Rae’shalare, Death’s Whisper is now classified as a Unique item.
- Fixed an issue that was causing the Foresworn Aspirant’s Robes to not show up in the Kyrian Soulbind dailies or in the Transmog appearances user interface.
Quests
- Resolved a number of issues with the quest “The Nathrezim” in which Mal’Ganis was telling enemies in other player’s experiences what to do. He has been notified to stay in his lane.
- Added a graveyard that is specific for the quest “The Nathrezim.”
- Developers’ note: This should eliminate the long run back to the quest if it is in progress and reduce some of the timing bugs that were coming up with Mal’Ganis’ gloating moments.
The Maw
- Fixed an issue where players who accepted a queue in the middle of flying to the Beastwarrens would be pacified until relogging.
Torghast, Tower of the Damned
- Completing the Adamant Vaults will now always reward Anima and significantly more gold.
- Bosses in the Adamant Vaults no longer regenerate health after defeating players.
