The naming is a call to when you restricted yourself rather than the server doing so because the enjoyment was “self-found”. The hard element of hardcore was where people found the fun.
I for one cannot wait. Counting the hours until “self-found” launch! All the haters need to roll Alliance! RAWR!

Are you going to fix the self found champion soul of iron buff? Everyone who hit level 60 for the past couple weeks already has the buff… makes me care way less about trying this out
Gonna make a new character for this one.
Need/greed systems are going to be getting put to the ultimate test with this one! Next up, they godda get that solo tag in there and watch the world burn… or maybe rejoice.
its just wows version of runescapes iron man mode which could have been already done w/o any of this.
you didnt need blizzard for this you could have set these rules your “self” lol
Self Found is just a harder hardcore… and I’m not willing to waste my time on this. it was hard enough while I played and too risky with too many connection issues.
Why are you still allowing addons for this mode? Will never be hardcore until they are all blocked.

…i got really excited, spent $15 for a month, then read these comments and decided I don’t want to play. Hardcore sounds great, but these “people” reminded me in 15 seconds why I hate this insipid playerbase

figures blizzard wouldnt do the right thing and stamp out all gold money and w.e trade off a server.
Nope. IronMan can use AH and mail but not use:
- better armor than white
- buffs
- talent points
- professions (only first aid)
- groups
- dungeons
- potions
It is SO not the same. IronMan is more Solo … 
The toxic behavior, which was primarily driven by SSF (Solo Self Found) on the BSB server, isn’t really there on HC server, yes there are some people who level up solo, and we will see a few more with the release of SF (Self Found), but the majority are willing to group for most quest mobs where there are spawn issues, and there aren’ t so many people that those that want to challenge themselves with some content by soloing it aren’t creating the behavioral issues we saw on BSB.
Also the feature released by Blizzard is simply SF (Self Found) and only blocks trading, AH, and mail. Populations are pretty spread out also, so most often while there are a reasonable number of people in the zones, none are super crowded. Overall the general population is pretty nice, and seems relatively mature.

Fix the soul of iron buff. Every 60 gets it, not just self found players.
Soul of Iron is not related to SF, it simply is the buff that says you didn’t die, which is why if you highlight over the buff it shows “never known defeat”, anyone can have this buff on HC, and its somewhat meaningless since, if you die, thats it so everyone qualifies.
Self-Found Adventurer is the SF buff, and you can only get this when you create your character by opting in to the check box.

Oh, but it is related my friend. When you ding 60, you get the buff moved and renamed self-found champion INSIDE your soul of iron buff (much like a chronoboon). ^.^ log into one of the main cities and wait. you will see someone with it, and I guarantee they didn’t have the Self-Found Adventurer buff your talking about while leveling.
Which is what I’m trying to draw attention to.
