Wow, Gaming Violence and it's Impact on People

Right, I think minor being engaged in the activity, and those activities translating through transactions to real world money, was what initiated talk about the issue. Not sure if it’s gone anywhere.

Sure but parents cant press a button and stop a kid from doing something stupid. Parents cant be around 24/7 and as we have seen you can have the ideal upbringing and wonderful parents and still do terrible things.

I am sure if one were inclined to research you would find many examples of this.

I know… and I support that… because they will have to decide… is this really worth the loss of revenue? And we get a better product with less microtransactions.

Are you doing some kind of school assignment? I had a college assignment like this but I defended games where as the other person opposed it. Was literally the most dumb class assignment ever, they were reaching for levels of nothingness. Some people overthink video games more then what they are.

No. Change is necessary, but a change in how people are raised. Change in what’s viewed on the media(to include the whole truth)… if the cycle started that you’re talking about we would lose literally everything fun… humans are violent and always have been…

First thing I bought with that tag was ST’s: Lights… Camera… Revolution!

i had the rock music debate for fun that was not fun at all

It’s a going on 30+ years debate and arguments now. Politicians (bipartisan support usually) blame video games for everything including ingrown toenails.

And gamers, scientists, psychologists, and every other rational sane person says “No!”

But they always gotta have their bogeymen.

Fully agree, there is an agenda with injecting society and culture with raw violence on every major screen, PLUS lowering that country’s morality through “gender identification”, every 10 years they can go further and further in what they push because the morality lowers every 10 years. There may be some controversy now about gender identity and trans, but the current children now are gonna be the ones to grow up and accept that as normal, then the old people will be disregarded as “stuck in their ways”

Hold on… I have a gif for this…

Thanks for the heads up… found a decent substitute that directly addresses the issue at hand in 93-94.

The 1980’s called, OP, they want their call the arms back. (this joke has been sponsored by the coalition of 1980’s gamers)

reminds me of an article i heard about satanist wanting to try it, only to be disappointed that it did not involve demon worship.

Weird violence was happening before video games!

I can’t wait until the day the OP discovers the evils of playing Dungeons and Dragons!!!

The pearl clutching will be epic!

Wow is one of the LEAST violent games at the moment but it isn’t the gameplay that creates killers it is always a persons childhood trauma that is to blame. You don’t become aggressive in real life from playing video games.

Is early childhood trauma

glad you got to use it and properly, that’s actually hilarious :joy:

You called me? here I am. Go ahead. Express yourself?

To my detractors: I never said the gaming industry was the sole reason for violence in real world. All I did was ask the question was it possible that movies and gaming violence might have an effect on people i the real world.

Why some of you have gone on to the deep-end is just plain silly. I guess some people are not happy unless they can insult and denigrate someone else. How sad.
