I am playing the Anni TBC so i decided to put these comments into this section.
I have been playing Wow since the middle of vanilla and i have enjoyed most of the great times with pixels that fight and level.
I currently have been having fun in the guild I’m in and meeting new ppl as a level with all the ppl also having fun.,
This forum exists in another world from the actual player base. trolls and lunatics fill these forums and a person coming to this media for the first time would get a very veiled and dank view of the game.
most of what is posted in the forums are winers and trolls and thus completely irrelevant.

The stories and information posted here are artistic works of fiction and falsehood.
Only a fool would take anything posted here as fact.

there was a time you could talk about the game constructively and also get information.

The forums have been a cesspool since they were opened during alpha/beta.
The only forums i remember not being like this were the lore ones during the early days when lore was interesting.

That was before the game was figured out and before everybody knew all about using third-party websites like Wowhead (Thottbot) and YouTube.
Also before the advent of massive social media platforms like reddit, so the go to place for any individual game was the official game forums hosted by the developer.

good point. now there are gods that want to tell everybody how much they know and how they were not hired by blizzard.
stay away from these forums they are mostly filled with trolls and weird #nochanges type of players.
notice how no famous or world first, r1, or top m+ players ever actually post here unless its beta forums.
especially stay away from the customer support forum where there is some kind of weird cult of 5 or so hall monitor type players that all spam ‘Like’ each others post trying to look like a good puppy for the blizzard employees that review the posts there. Say anything remotely unfavourable to them and you will get instantly reported for trolling in about 30 seconds im not even kidding.

let’s not forget the blizzard purge where they removed a bunch of posts calling them out for their mistakes along the way. back in the day, there was much more grumbling than there is now (if you can believe that) and blizzard saw fit to simply delete thread after thread of negative posts. but aside from that, yeah. it’s all troll vs troll action now. maybe a few bits of useful info. it’s sad, actually.

I don’t think dank, in common parlance, means what you think it means.

the people on the forums are the most erm “passionate” about wow
they do make for very entertaining reads when bored at work though

well if your talking about parlance, it would depend then. there is not a parlance with that word at this time. it depends on who reads it. its a ffa for all the uses. dank good weed, dank good anything, dank good meme, dank bad dark, dank bad off topic
let them vent. they have no where else to go besides the forums to complain about what they find on the forums. go figure right?

Well hey, if you’re comfortable with your usage, then we’re good. It’s not as though I’m the authority on how anyone should be using words!

I come to the forums to read comments from the same 20 people about random nonsense. Let’s be honest, i see a familiar name or two in every thread.
Without those 20 people, this place would be way different.

OP only the chronically online GDKPers come to this forum to cry that they can’t GDKP and boundary test new ways to GDKP since GDKP was banned.
It’s a bunch of mad 30+ year old men with too much free time.
Nothing that is said here is relevant and you are correct that most normal people would find the people here weird and wouldn’t want them in their raids.
Just look at the GDKP spammers. Enough said.

the forums are for crying, just look at the people complaining about honor gains while admitting they’re doing the worst imaginable form of gaining honor possible
