I mean that’s the thing, I want to be a hybrid.
You’d drop your raw damage, Omen of Clarity and LotP for a burst heal…
Wow…
They want to be able to fill any role that’s needed in a group. the 0/30/21 build could tank/heal or dps in dungeons decently. It’s mostly only for 5-man content, gearing up etc, not raids.
Letter of the law matters! Feral cats can easily be one of the top DPS through a guild’s first few runs of MC, particularly with Dire Maul delayed until the second phase. Once the usual suspects like rogues and mages get some Scholo, Strath and MC gear the honeymoon is over.
HotW spec. It’s the only feral raid spec. You can off tank, heal, and don’t have to respec for pvp or farming. Carry a set of healing gear and bear gear. Your guild will thank you…
Idk… I feel it’s sacrificing to much in the feral/balance tree.
If you’re going for a powershifting rotation, you really need to go into balance and get 3/3 natural shapeshifter. You’ll be spending a lot of mana to do that.
You kinda have to choose what you want to do better, even with a hybrid build. If you want to heal and tank, you can’t go into balance. If you want to tank and dps, you can’t go deep into resto. if you want to dps and heal, you’re going to have to sacrifice your dps and not powershift/no balance talents.
Absolutely, IMO the smartest guilds will take a feral along for tanking and hybrid duty and LoTP in a fury group. Also that build looks solid for bear/cat.
Also, are you still looking for a raid guild? If so, bookmark me, my guild will start recruitment soon
I wonder if TSA and Furious Howl is better than LotP, especially if you’re Horde and have a Shaman for Windfury.
Depends if you’re primarily healing and occasionally off tanking 30/21 is the build to go for. If your guild doesn’t care if you sit in feral all the time in raids and you also want a fun open world/pvp build then an 11/31/5 with some discretionary points left over is a lot more fun from a feral perspective.
Nah, it’s all about gusto. You just gatta believe!
If that doesn’t work? DDOS the rest of the dps so that they can’t perform!
Even if you where planning on tanking, i don’t think that primal fury would even be worth taking. It can be good for pvp when a rogue is on you, thats about all.
I disagree, the extra rage can be quite nice. It’s not a must have, but it’s nice.
If you are getting crit you are dead, even in a 20 man raid, it’s good for pvp
Hence why my original link didn’t have it, and I said “may”… sheesh.
It all depends on what I feel is needed - If I end up healing more later on, that’s what I’d spec to do.
And MANY MANY druids drop OOC for a “burst” heal, it’s the basis of the 0/30/21 spec.
I literally just logged in right before you replied.
Do whatever you want, man. But, I will say, dropping LotP for any reason if you’re playing Feral in a raid is a huge slap in the face to other people.
The 0/30/21 is a PvP spec btw. Just letting you know before you tell people you want to raid that way.
You know what, I just looked up and realized you didn’t mention raiding in your posts I think. My bad man.
Yeah PvP wise, that spec looks okay.
If I play Feral, do I automatically get to win WSG?
Yea, for Chellai’s intentions, their spec is good - powershifting and dps’ing mainly. If that’s your case, then yea, you want LotP + OOC + some powershifting talents. There’s only a few options in a dps powershifting build, and it’s all been covered here.
As far as the healing hybrid goes, Nature’s swiftness is a “oh crap” button that you really shouldn’t need(outside of PvP). I never had it as a hybrid spec in Classic, and it was fine.
I did raid in a similar spec to what I posted above, a 0/31/20 spec… mostly offtanking and healing, doing what was needed depending on the fight. Classic isn’t difficult enough, unless you are being super progressive(fighting for world first raids), that you would have any difficulty healing with only 20 points in resto with healing gear.
And of course, if you find yourself having difficulty with something, you can always change specs with a bit of gold and do something else. That’s the beauty of druids.
Can’t be good at everything. That’s why Druid is so great because each spec is specific to the needs of the individual. You have to make sacrifices and there is no 1 perfect spec to be used in all situations.
Want to heal sometimes or save the other tank because the healers are now dead? Oh my, our furry savior!
