I’m not saying wow is dead. I don’t think it will ever die. But returning after a several month long break, the game feels dead. Little to no “lower” keys posted. Hard to find people to fill your own keys. Queuing feels like it takes forever, even as tank. I still really hate the changes to m+ scaling and wonder if some of that is a factor. The game just feels empty.
Sounds like you been spending too much time in Shadowlands. It all dead there.
I think the major store discounts have started in my neck of the woods.
Could explain the falloff in players.
There’s less lower keys being posted because there isn’t a large population of players that populate that strata anymore. Those players are likely delvers now, so they have options besides doing +2s. Part of that is also the rewards for low keys are very poor in comparison to delves, so people just do them once to build rating and that’s it.
It doesn’t feel dead to me. But I also play on a populated server.
Yes
Tenchar
Yea, WOW seems to be in a pretty bad slog and content is rather limited.
how does it feel outside 5man stuff?
Based on what I’ve seen, it’s because everyone is over playing Classic Anniversary right now.
Including myself lol.
Servers are full as heck, every one. (All except AU anyway.)
Just bored with TWW, waiting for the next patch, playing Classic Anniversary until sub runs out, might renew when new patch arrives.
The content, for me, just has run dry/gotten stale.
It is always jumping here in Goldshire on Moonguard!
Classic killed wow
I can’t say anything to low keys since I don’t do that content, but my que times for PvP are low and Dornogal is always bustling.
Classic isn’t killing anything, anytime soon.
Game has felt dead for years. Unless you are running Mythic+, there isn’t a whole lot to do unless you just like doing braindead nonsense. What’s worse, as more people finish or straight up quit running Mythic+, the game feels more and more empty. I think last week the number of runs dropped to like 1.1 million so there has been a considerable decrease since they opened up.
Pretty much this.
Even Rated PvP is dead aside from BG Blitz.
If it wasn’t for auto-queue modes to speed things up, WoW would be even deader.
Subs under 500 for first time.
Everyone did “lower keys” in September. WoW is like work. Feel free to go on vacation and prepare to spend twice as much time playing catch up.
Might be because no one wants to do group activities.
M+?
Be decked out to do even just a +2.
Wanna raid?
MUST be in a guild.
For reference:
615 dps, 625 dps/tank, 610 tank, 610 heals
All these get rejected from the above.
So it’s not dead, just empty and soulless.
That leaves just delves. And while delves were great early, they fell of quickly because where’s the difficulty?
Yes M+ is pretty much dead and friends will not resub untill S2 comes out because no one wants the next patch just for a ring and in top of that it will be time gated for 6 weeks to get max iLvl out of it, no thanks.
Dungeons being harder than normal this season, with 15 sec death penalty and having to do 10’s for Myth vault killed TWW S1 M+ scene.
Tank/healer changes as well. I’ve played Rsham for 4 years, CoT broke me. I’m too boomed out to heal some of these dungeoms apparently, but have always been fine in the past.
If Blizzard hadn’t dropped Gilded crests down to +8 the season would have been over already.
They killed the low level keys with delve, unfortunately. The key level squish also killed it for a lot of people since you’re effectively starting at SL +10.
