WoW Error #132

WoW recently started crashing on me with Error #132. I did a fresh install of Windows 10, no addons and still get the error. I also ran 13 passes of MemTest and did the Windows memory tool test with no errors. Any help would be appreciated. I have also tried the latest Nvidia driver and also rolled back to a previous version, nothing seems to work.

Hey there,

It looks like the crashes are related to rendering shadows. Does adjusting shadow quality help any? I’d also like to take a look at your DxDiag if that’s ok.

Here are the instructions:

  1. Press Windows Key + R.
  2. Type DxDiag and press Enter.
  3. In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
  4. Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save
  5. Once you have that made, open the file. You’ll need to copy and paste the contents of the Text document into the post, and put four Tilde (~) marks above the DXDiag. It’ll look like this:

If you have issues pasting here, please use Pastebin and post the link (ex: Pastebin (dot) com/123456).

Thanks for the reply. I believe the problem was due to faulty RAM. I removed two of my 4 8GB sticks and haven’t had an issue with WoW or overall system stability yet. I’ll leave this post here for anyone else running into the same problem, my RAM passed 13 passes of MemTest86 and the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool. I spent countless hours on forums trying to pinpoint the problem as well. I guess you can have a bad stick of RAM that still passes the tests. I’ll follow up if I have any more crashes.
