For the first time I have wow on an SSD along with my OS. I have 65gb of space left and shadowlands isn’t out yet. My concern is once that is on that drive I will have even less space. Do I need to just go ahead and replace or are SSDs better equipped to not slow down as they get closer to capacity? Thanks
SSD shouldn’t slow down due to being nearly full. Are you running your trim program that came with SSD or letting win 10 do it?
I would invest in bigger or 2nd SSD.
I like having a dedicated SSD for my OS and a second one for my other programs.
It depends on the SSD. Some are fine regardless of how full they are but some use their free space as an expanded cache so you’ll see things slow down as they reach capacity.
That’s true but if you run the trim least once or twice a month it keeps SSD fit. I have 240g ssd with Win10 on as C: and WOW on d: I have 60g free on D and 20g free on C:
You can combine your drives and if you dont know how to do that, make a new file path to D which will be the larger one. You have to format your drive to make it bigger.
OR set a new file path.
There is almost a zero percent chance that your computer would STILL not have enough room after doing one of those two options.
