WoW Development Stalled

So nothing has changed because almost no work was being done on World of Warcraft before.

Anti-harrasement people harrase harrasers to stop harrasement.

Amazon certainly would not claim WoW’s playerbase.
The only game that comes closer to the same style as WoW is Final Fantasy XIV.

But that comes as no surprise as the producer and lead of FFXIV Yoshi-P is a huge fan of World of Warcraft.

It’s worth noting that no other game can take its place because no other game has the budget WoW has, but if a game becomes more successful, and there’s a demand for that kind of playstyle, there will surely be a game that offers it.

it’s the weekend…
See you tomorrow at work

The allegations are horrible

Do your bloody jobs blizzard

We don’t pay you to sit around being sad

I would probably spin up Pservers once in a while to knock out Loremaster on the old continents for the rest of my days.

I love Azeroth.

The overall quote is also a big lie.
Other MMORPGs do have things he enjoys, he just choose not to play anything else but WoW, which makes him blind to all the options out there.

But one thing is true. There are no other MMORPG that so heavily leans towards and is developed more so to support e-sports teams than having actual fun.

It costs too much to provide the type of end game in the quantity wow has, I really doubt anything would be willing to take over.

Really, what is the likelihood that a game that plays exactly like wow, has a smooth of combat as wow, is as fun as wow, comes out with as much raid and M+ content? Its very unlikely.

No on is really making tab target mmo’s anymore either.

If you’re talking about me, I have no intention of playing another MMO. I’ve put years of my time into this one, that means something.

Oh yea?

Name a tab target game with M+?

Name a tab target game besides FFXIV with a raiding focus?

I don’t like action mmos

Well if they are sitting around crying then they can easily be replaced because apparently they’re not working on the game right now

Many MMORPGs offer what he wants, but not to the extent WoW does. I don’t really fault him for feeling that way, but it’s 100% a budget issue. Yoshi P has been on record saying that he wishes he had the budget WoW has so that he could offer the endgame it has.

Well, wow won’t die over this anyway, it’s more of a hypothetical

Nah, it was Onikaroshi.

M+ is esports design, and not designed to have fun in.

Now that you mention it. I actually don’t know a whole lot that have not tried to divert from the tab-targetting.

Huh.

Moment of clarity for me here.

Thanks.

He would have the budget if SE would stop sending his money to other games.

They have a huge playerbase and a massive cash shop, there’s no way that it’s not pulling in a ton of cash.

It’s some of the most fun i’ve had with friends in years, between that and raiding I’m still having a blast in this game.

Been getting a lot of client and PTR updates. So somethings happening.

Seems like quality and production started decline after 8.2. It’s been a laggy, buggy, and unfinished mess from 8.3 onwards.

Not at all over the allegations
But they have to get back to work if they want to keep people

I’m very annoyed to hear they have stopped

There’s also no reason why M+ dungeons can’t coexist with the classic style of game that many players love.

Big true yes.

Hopefully with the recent exodus to FFXIV, Yoshi-P realises that he can have far more negotiating power and request a much bigger budget from SE.
