WoW Development Stalled

What I said in the previous response

But Blizzard doesn’t want to listen to you. They clearly think they know better for the game than the ones who play it. At this point, your actions speak much louder than words. If you want change, the only course of action is to leave. You can certainly stick around and give feedback when and where you can, but it won’t get you anywhere.

I have a shimmer of hope that they can turn it all around.
But I do not really play World of Warcraft in earnest (haven’t bought Shadowlands, did not trust it), I play Final Fantasy 14.

I write on these forums in between FFXIV dungeon ques as well as main-scenario-dungeon cutscenes which can not be skipped.

Blizzard does listen, just because they didn’t listen to you about X or Y it does not mean they are not listening. Alot of the content in the current expansion are elements of what we have been discussing on these forums. I personally wasn’t a fan of how these ideas were implemented, but they did listen regardless.

Edit: I should also add that I am not happy with the current style of game, I want to go back to using a successful formula but with modern improvements added.

And FF11 online is still alive… I mean as long as they have sustainable levels of income wow is safe… to many lifers that love the game to much.

Only time will tell,. But current events and game quality will have a major impact of resources allocated to wow. Which would lower quality and so on.

But without the numbers projections are a guess at best. Come 1st quarter of 2022 would set the tone

It would seem they are listening to the wrong crowd then with the mass exodus.

Sure they do  I mean everyone was warning them covenants in theory was good but in practice it sucked, and would be a expletive show to balance

The ship had already sailed at that point, a game like this would take months to turn around, they can’t just do it with a snap of the fingers.

Why is it only now that women can truly shine ?

How many times have we said we don’t want timegating? How many times have we said we don’t want more systems? How many times have we said we’re tired of loot treadmills and want more content that doesn’t pertain to the three pillars of endgame? How many times have we said PvP is terrible, or how we want professions to be better? How many times have we said we want account-wide progression because leveling an alt is utterly tedious for endgame progression?

All of these things that are fundamentally killing this game are still here. They listen to us on smaller things, sure, but the things that are causing people to leave are front and center of the game’s content,

You can’t seriously say that they listen to us where it matters.

Then it should have taken months to turn around, they would have most likely lose less subs that way

There had to be an action against him for his advances? :robot:

Yet you are wishing harm on hundreds of innocent employees who would lose jobs and their families would suffer. World of Warcraft isn’t some insubstantial thing, it is the provider for many people who have done no wrong. And if thats silly, well, I guess I am.

It doesn’t work like that, they had to make the best of what was already done.

After years of not listening to player complaints. They did the same thing with Classic too. It took years and years for Blizzard to listen to players who wanted Classic.

This isn’t about game content anymore. These are serious allegations concerning victims who were hurt in real life. We don’t have years; we need change now, and Blizzard historically is not great at 1) admitting fault, and 2) listening.

You’re weaving different issues together here. I have already explained my stance on the allegations, I will say again, if you want to walk away that is your right and I understand. Many of us want to remain to help create change, because we care about positive change and also because we love the game. If you want to give up and walk away, then do so.
