Hi! So…it is 2021 and I remember Blizzard saying back in WOTLK that they were working on a dance studio where you can mix and customize dance emotes/animations. And they kept saying through each new expack, Cata, Mists, so on that they were working on putting it in game. Is it still possible Blizzard will do it? or have they given up on the idea? I also know player housing (guild halls?) were an idea in classic/vanilla but never got put in game. And every expac players are making idea’s and concepts of player housing being possible now a days, Some people want more things and interactions in game. What do you think may come in future expacs after Shadowlands? Any ideas or wishes of your own?
My inner pessimist really doesn’t believe World of Warcraft will ever incorperate player housing or any sort of greater scale of customization that isn’t bare bones dry. I’d love to see nearly an inkling of the work one can do through Epsilon, but that simply is a dream that isn’t meant to be. If I could see anything happening. Some base dances where every race can use (Much like how majority of the class spell animations are all similar with MINOR facial differences or postures).

Given the kind of work that would be required to make a dance studio possible? With how 3d models work? I doubt we will ever see it in-game. I think it was a great concept, but once the reality of actually implementing it because clearly, it was probably just too grand a task.

Player housing would be great. I’d love the idea of running old raids/dungeons for furniture drops, or maybe making a new profession like Woodworking to make furniture from recipes.
My garrison can only do so much.

I’ve always been a fan of the dance studio, which would finally allow me to attend a function without starting a mosh pit. I don’t see it being added without a lot of work, but there’s always hope.
I’ve been a fan of player housing/fortresses/halls. It’s an idea that’s been approached, using the garrisons, but hasn’t been completely pushed out the door. I believe that a good mix of housing and garrison-like additions would be perfect for the longevity of the game, and would be phenominal for the community.
I’ve always wanted a fortress, with a surrounding town or village, that I can fully customize. Could even push unlockables through old content, reps, world rares, etc.
