I’m not getting the crash. It seems like a user error problem. I trust Blizzards expert techs above randos.
Edit: Nevermind, it’s happened to me.
Yes… I was fine with the initial patch yesterday, it wasn’t until I got an update after logging off later in the evening that these crashes started happening (repeatedly.)

Just adding to the list as well. Doesn’t seem to matter where in the world you are either, logged into an alt parked in the middle of nowhere and crashed too.
Same, if I try to fly in tyrhold area the game crashes
Still having the same issue this morning, whether I have addons or not, whether I’m trying to do something, or not, it does not matter.
It seems to not happen as much on characters in Remix, for me, but it still happens.
I don’t post on the forums really ever, but given this issue is game braking in that it totally inhibits gameplay (and doesn’t let me relax even when I can play for fear of another crash) I thought I’d also reply.
I’ve never had an issue this serious while playing WoW. But as of yesterday’s maintenance I’ve been almost entirely unable to play the game due to this very issue. The hard crash is seemingly random, but every time the game gives up the ghost the same error message pops up including the following: ACCESS_VIOLATION.
I’ve updated my drivers and deleted all addons. This seemingly didn’t help. I might reinstall, but others have stated that it doesn’t appear to help. So long as more folks come out of the woodworks to comment here, I hope Blizz will soon address this issue for those of us unable to play their game.

Disabling the addon “CursorTrail” solved the crashing for me. Not sure what changed since the addon was working fine yesterday and the addon last updated on 7/27.
Edit: Had to disable WeakAuras also.
Edit2: Crashed again, seems like a cat and mouse game at this point.
Same crashing all of sudden today… I never had this problem before and I’m playing other games just fine
Has there been an official response to this issue? I can’t play the game at all after buying the expansion to come back to try it out. >.>;;;
Also experiencing this error. For me, it seems to happen most often when I’m skyriding, and it’s almost automatic when skyriding in MoP Remix. Also happened once while skyriding during the pre-patch event in the main game. Changing to Steady Flight blunted the issue, at least for the moment.
EDIT: Another trigger for the crash seems to be flying through bronze orbs in MoP Remix. My game had been working fine with no crashes prior to the latest hotfix patch.

i dont think this has anything to do with intel. Im crashing with amd 5600x cpu and 3070 gpu
It’s a bad patch. Was forced to update two days ago and haven’t been able to log in in since. Able to get to character selection screen but crashes upon logging in to any toons. Still haven’t seen an official response from blue yet.

I am having the same issue
Same issue; seems to happen when I open my Shift+P (Appearances specifically) menu on my SPriest, and my Character menu on my ArcMage and SPriest. I haven’t tried disabling my addons but this problem only arose after the update pushed earlier today so I’ll wait for the permanent fix.
I disabled all addons and it’s still crashing with the same memory violation error that everyone is facing! Wtf blizz I can’t play your game, I can’t do dungeon, M+, can’t do any events as I will be disconnected or removed from that dungeon even if I tried to quickly login back. It also affects other players in that dungeon group too! It’s been 24 hours of having to deal with this, with zero response from your support team!! At least reply that you are aware of this issue or something!
same issue, disabled all addons, repaired files, still the same results. Game is unplayable, as I crash every 1-5 minutes.
