WOW crashing my computer since 10.2

Since 10.2 launched, wow has crashed my computer 3 times now. each time, the computer restarts and i receive an error of no boot device found. after i hard restart, the computer boots up fine. to try and solve the issue, i uninstalled wow and was attempting to reinstall it, and at the 82.6 gb left point of the download, it came to a screeching halt for about 2 min, then crashed my computer again to the same issues. i have a temp reader on my computer, and i havent run hot. i havent had any issues elsewhere, and cannot go to your support website cause it just keeps trying to load the page where i contact support. this is absolutely maddening, plz contact me in some way to help me figure this out.

+1 on this. You’re not alone. I’ve had my computer consistently crashing since 10.2 was released. I uninstalled and reinstalled with no help. Even just having it on my computer while not playing I still crash. I uninstalled the game completely and haven’t crashed since. Any ideas on this one blizzard?

Hey there!

Thank you for reporting this as I know a sudden restart can be quite alarming. When a Windows system suddenly restarts or shuts down, this indicates that an unrecoverable system failure occurred. While this can have a variety of potential causes, it is usually due to an issue with the Windows installation or hardware in the machine.

It is important to consider that the game is triggering an underlying issue, and not necessarily the underlying cause of your issue. In order to isolate what is causing your specific problem I recommend these resources:

I hope this info helps!

Definitely not alone, I was experiencing up to 2-3 crashes PER BOSS when in Raid last night (normal and heroic) but when performing LFR, not a single crash. And doing anything in the Emerald dream wouldn’t result in a crash either.

It’s Blizzard attempting to access memory outside of the envelope that the Microsoft OS allocated (hence the error message). Thinking it may have been hardware, disabled audio, reduced raid graphics (9 → 7 ->5)

Basically something for me, is going on with Blizz client accessing the protected memory space. Hopefully Blizz, with all of the “submit a ticket” will be able to use their GitHub Copilot GPT-4 to figure things out now.

Can you stop giving him non accountable answers? It’s the DX 11/12 Issues that are present, MY PC is also restarting because DX 11 fills my ram to 99% capacity. Please be honest with him.

Ok, glad I found this thread so I’m (and you) not alone. The computer has flat shut down twice while doing keys today and yesterday.

5950x/6900xt + 1000w Seasonic power supply. Please do not tell me about overheating because this is a custom watercooled computer with two 360mm radiators. The CPU never breaks 75c and the GPU never breaks 45c. It passes a full 20 loops of 3dmark Time Spy and Port Royal stress tests. WoW is literally the only thing that crashes it. This never happened before 10.2 and the hardware has been the same for over a year.

Heh, I have a friend who has this exact issue. She was talking about having to buy a new computer until I told her to hold off because it only happens in WoW and only since 10.2.

Mine isn’t crashing. But I get a 132 error with zero addons installed. fresh windows install and everything. All of this happened once 10.2 dropped. Help desk is zero help. They read off a list of things it could be. I can’t find anywhere where blizzard knows of the issue and is working on a fix for it. It’s not Dx11 anymore apparently that small fix was pushed last reset, and it was apparently for Mac only. But how can one go from 10.1 to 10.1.7 zero crashes. Then 10.2 drops and our computers go out back and kills itself.

i dont crash but hell i have low fps like 21 in Valdraken and about the same in raid with decent PC. there is something wrong and and they won’t give us a direct answer for some reasons
