I can play the game for 5-10 minutes and then it will give me an error code saying referenced memory could not be read. With the new xpac coming out I really want to resolve this ASAP. My rig is an ASRock Motherboard running an I9 139000kf, 4080 geforce rtx, 36 gb of ddr 5 ram, on a 2 TB solid state black widow hard drive.

im having same issue when trying to access server cant connect but running amd
Check you max voltage in your BIOS.
The cpu you have is over clocked by default and will pull too much current.
Limit this in the BIOS on startup.
The CPU is AMD or your GPU card is AMD ?
both 7600x cpu and 7800xt gpu

You are not trying to use the Motherboard connector for a display?

Could be a driver issue.
yea its connected to gpu just updated to latest driver the other day. i cant try to reinstall it. i was able to play yesterday. now when i log in it connects to a realm i dont norm play on and when i try to switch where my char are it crashes with similar to post above just few diff numbers.
If you did not get rid of the old drivers, before you put new ones on. Some drivers will stay old and some will be new.
DDU program might help.
Do a search on this forum on how to run that.
Once you are happy with the drivers.
In the game options menu…
Select your GPU Card and not the CPU/GPU option or Default.

I was experiencing this exact crash since the pre patch. For me the fix was turning of the 2nd resample option. Previous to the prepatch I had my settings as cmaa2 and 8x resample. After the prepatch I have found this combination to cause instant crashes. I can now only have 1 of the 2 options selected to remain stable.

i am having a similar issue! i played the game 2 weeks ago and just tried logging on 2 days ago. it updated, and then when i launch the game it crashes at the character selection page. my computer is up to par no running issues . i only use this computer for wow. nothing else not even web browsing. the code i get is 94F8DC06-D708-4DBF-BE0D-294B2B44EF50
opening a ticket they say to do the troubleshooting stuff , which i did before hand and then to take it in somwhere to look at the OS.
so frustrating as im nearly done with the remix and looking forward to the new expansion which i pre bought months ago
Having this exact same issue. Found a workaround. went to my compatibility settings on the Graphics tab in options (down at the very bottom) and unchecked EVERYTHING. Graphics quality went down a LOT, but the crashes have completely stopped. now, it’s just a matter of turning them back, slowly, one at a time, until I find the culprit. Hope this helps.

Same issue. RTX 4080, i9 14900KF, unchecking any one compatibility option under graphics crashes the game. Great compatibility, blizzard
Same for me. Game has been crashing for two weeks. Guess I’ll be uninstalling the game and asking for a refund on this expansion.
