WoW crashes to desktop repeatedly

Over the last 3 to 4 days WoW keeps crashing…I have all my drivers updated and I did a file update and scan and repair from the BattleNet Launcher.

I keep getting the following error when it crashes.

Program:C\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_retail_\Wow.exe
Exception: 0xC0000094 (INT_DIVIDE_BY_ZERO) at 00007ff78d39b9d9
ProcessID: 28828
ThreadID: 33208

This happens multiple times per day and only seems to happen when I log into retail WoW.

I get a report ID for communicating with Blizzard: 05FC8974-191A-4FA1-B240-1986466FF48C

I am running on an Alienware R1 laptop. 13th Gen I9 CPU, RTX 4090 GPU, 64GB DDR5 Ram, 2x4TB Samsung 990 Pro SSDs and 1Gbps WIFI.

I verified the GPU drivers were updated, checked Windows update and device drivers and no issues. Have had no issues and no updates needed until a couple days ago.

Temps? I mean an i9 and a 4090 in a laptop is sure to get hot.

Alienware is known for running hot would not be surprised if your having thermal issues. Check your temps, turn down video settings

yes my system runs hot…but I get no crashes and higher usage on other games.

Idk about laptop drivers, but Nvidia’s desktop drivers have been complete trash all year. Should try rolling back to see if that does anything
