It accomplish nothing I have a friend in it and talk with frequently. Well haven’t since Holidays. I won’t say their name because it doesn’t not matter.
On their experience, they’re pro outdoor content / collector. The way this assembled it doesn’t not seem to work out because they can’t communicate with the other Council members because their main background are from the hardcore scene.
The current council has 0 roleplayer, like the last one. 3 casual. And pro pvper and mythic raider and mythic dungeon players from the MDI.
Yet look at the state of the game, alpha, beta, council.
Blizzard doesn’t care about anyone. This has been nothing but a PR move since the start and people fell for it.
Yes, it is known if you’re reading their introduction postings. Most of the people do not belong there or do not represent the majority of players. It’s nothing new.
Oh, they have one confirmed from ArgentDawn-EU. Personally, I’m disappointed of the AD-EU member. They did nothing in the end but making a big entry.
I don’t know anyone who “fell for it”. It was called out as a PR move right from the start. This was what, the 3rd time they created a “council”? The previous one I believe involved a slack channel that some of the top streamers used to directly report issues and suggestions that pretty much fell on deaf ears.
Blizzard doesn’t have the time or resources cater to the player base, that costs money and disrupts what the leadership wants to do.
The CC people overwhelmingly don’t post nor participate at all. The intro postings are irrelevant because most of the people who wrote them bailed right after.
Just like I predicted when it was announced.
(And just so we’re clear, nobody get me wrong on this, the communcity council IS useless.)
I am going to guess either you don’t have a friend there, or your friend is not active. Your “stats” are flat out wrong.
Also not sure what you mean by “Current council” vs last one. There has been no turn over yet. Applications just closed Jan 3rd.
The “Hardcore” folks have been the only ones represented for years - and STILL HAVE lots of representation through the “secret channels” to Blizzard. They have had that access for many many years. They don’t need to be on the Council because they already have feedback routes - well established ones.
The Council is but one of MANY feedback mechanisms.
It is fine if you don’t like it, but misrepresenting it seems silly.
