According to the WoW Cosmology Map, which is closer to Death?.. Disorder or Shadow?
It doesn’t work like that.
what do you mean?
I think the “opposite” relationships are meant to be taken literally - Life is the opposite of Death, Order is the opposite of Chaos - but aside from that, proximity doesn’t mean anything. Being “next to” another sphere doesn’t mean you’re related to it.
fair enough lol thanks
This, yeah. Fel magic has heck all of nothing to do with the Light.

That’s not necessarily true.
It’s actually suggested that the Light and Void, when colliding, created the Twisting Nether as well as the Great Dark Beyond, with the Twisting Nether being more described as the edge of Light and Void. And since demons, the creatures most closely associated with Fel, are defined as immortal beings linked to the Twisting Nether, one might be able to infer that the the collision of Light and Void creates Fel. However, that is an inference, and not confirmed.
I remember reading somewhere, and if someone could source this that would be great, that the positions of the magic types on the cosmology chart don’t actually mean anything. Although, it would seem that the greater forces are positioned across from their opposite.
Have you seen Age of Sigmar? Well like that, every lore is their own thing with actually zero relationship with the other.
yeah the titans and their followers can and usually will be wrong. for instance, chronicles builds light and void as the most powerful entities in the cosmos, and shadowlands proves without a shadow of a doubt that it just plain isn’t true.

In terms of current canon, necromancy is “fundamentally” tied to Shadow, ergo why Forsaken/the undead are weak against the Light.
At the same time, ever since Ulthalesh/Satiel, “necrolytes” aka people who use fel magic to manipulate death/the dead, are a thing.
So I’d say “Shadow” is in some sense intrinsic to “Death” whereas “Chaos” can just tap into it.
I’m just sayin’. I stan the Wiki. Also, I love this concept of Light + Void = Fel. It just feels good to me.
Doesn’t make a lick of sense, given naaru don’t have any fel magic when they start flickering to their void state.
