WoW polled the MMO community and asked everyone what they did and didn’t like about their MMO. WoW was essentially a Frankenstein monster of what players liked most about the different MMOs.

Of course there are things that are similar to other MMOs. But games have always taken ideas from other games, it’s how games and genres evolve. This isn’t new or different.
