Can’t get WoW Companion to work. Fires up with Blizzard Banner, then goes to blank bordered screen. Ideas?

I’m having the exact same issue. I can play hearthstone and use the battle.net app and authenticater, but have the same problem with the companion. Blizzard, please advise.
