I suspect at least part of the point of the CC was to filter out the ‘normies’ in terms of their noise.

And at that point, the question becomes:

I imagine their reason for not letting anyone with a pulse post in there is if they let normies/GD’ers post in there the board would quickly devolve into a cluttered up mess with fluff threads (especially), LGBTQ troll threads, politics threads, “outrage” threads, etc
A “downvote” button would be nice though, so GD’ers could express their dislike for unpopular ideas or CC posts they disagree with as outside viewers/lurkers

And, the CC are equally complaining like we do, so I’m not exactly sure what’s so “echo chamber-y” about the CC forums

I thought you were just complaining about the CC forums and accusing it of being an “echo chamber”. If it’s about Blizz “not listening”, there’d be no need to bring the CC

They’re so done listening to their customers they’ve signed up for a puppet wire act of people talking in another area just so they can ignore both GD and CC.
