WoW Client stuck Connecting - No issues with Battle.net or game updates - HELP?

Hello all,
I’ve no idea what (else) to try, but as the title says, game client is just stuck on Connecting…

What I’ve tried (everything… lol):

1. Reinstalled Battle.net from scratch
2. Reinstalled the (WoW retail) game from scratch (yep)
3. Added incoming and outgoing rules to the firewall (Windows Defender standard)
4. Tried connecting via LAN cable to the router rather than via home WiFi as normal - no difference, still stuck on Connecting…
5. Reset Winsock
6. Flushed ipconfig
7. Performed multiple dances with the drum and smoking sage in the middle of the room.

Any thoughtful advice other than “reboot your router” would be appreciated.

I know it’s going on to 9 hours later, but did this clear up.

You went through quite a heroic effort, but my only guess is this was a temporary authentication issue, not a global network issue that required full reinstalls, especially if you could both download the launcher, then reinstall the game.
