Wow classic wont launch

Good morning.

I have tried every fix I can think of to launch world of warcraft from clean install, to deleting config files, to switching to direct x 11 but no matter what I do on this computer WoW won’t launch. The launcher works fine and when i click launch it greys out and shows wow in the task manager but never actually opens. How do I play the game?

Did it launch in the past on the computer in question?

What are the specs of the computer? Add a DxDiag for troubleshooting?

I’m having the same issue.

Start a new thread with a DxDiag.

I am also having the same problem, it just started in the last week, I haven’t logged in to WoW in a few days, but last night both Classic and Retail tabs in Battlenet told me to install the games. I did so to both, and neither would launch last night. I figured restarting my computer might help, so turned it off.

Today, Retail launched, but I’m still having no luck with Classic. I also tried to launch it directly as opposed to in Battlenet, but the same problem.

Elocin, I have no idea how to get a DxDiag.

In a new thread post your dxdiag

  1. Open the Run Dialog: Press the Windows key and the R key simultaneously to open the Run dialog box.

  2. Type dxdiag: In the Run dialog box, type dxdiag and then press Enter.

  3. Launch DxDiag: The DirectX Diagnostic Tool will launch, and it will start gathering information about your system.

  4. Allow Progress to Finish: The tool will display a progress bar at the bottom left. Allow the progress to complete.

  5. Save the Report: Once the progress is complete, click “Save All Information”.

  6. Choose a Location and Save: Select a location to save the file, such as your Desktop, and save it as a text file (dxdiag.txt).

  7. Exit DxDiag: Once the file is saved, click “Exit” to close the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.

you can post the above on pastbin and post the link.
