it’s unfortunate that blizz feels the need to post these things with obviously scripted gaming in the video. Why not post a video of the actual blizz employees explaining how they feel right now with the way everything has gone…oh right, blizz would tank overnight if you admitted the truth.
Yea the fake a$$ posts , amas etc are annoying
lol. they’re literally flagging a cut and paste from the forum guidelines.
So much salt in this thread it’s giving me high blood pressure.
Mmm this feels so good imo. I am not even a super Classic guy but i love watching smug jerks have to eat crow. Brings me joy!
Loved every minute of it.
I loved watching that video. They showed they still had the passion they felt for the game they created. I just enjoyed watching the excitement on their faces.
Luckily there are lots of people who still enjoy the game. Not everyone is mean-spirited.
It’s 10k to be exact for one of the servers.
Oh chill out, seriously.
This game is coming up on its 15th anniversary. If not for the original Vanilla WoW being so good and such a tremendous success, you wouldn’t have what you have to play today.
This video is very fitting for the big anniversary coming up of WoW, even in this forum.
Does it really ruin your day that much?
Hey what happened to all those evil “trolls” and “bots” that are supposed to downvote all the Blizzard videos?
Oh wait, the only time that Blizzard gets massive down votes is when they upload crap content or shameless plugs for awful merchandise? Geez, whodathunk?
Wow, that video is pretty amazing, listening to the original devs talk about their experience and feelings.
Vanilla WoW was all those things for me - first mmorpg I played, was mostly a console RPG player before that. WoW was immense and humongous and so easy to get lost in. Real life time was non-existent. Actually played all night sometimes, missed work and all.
Alex said it’s like going home again…I don’t know. I can’t rewatch movies, reread books, replay games, don’t know if I can play classic with that same innocent feeling of being overwhelmed by this world.
Will of course try it next week sometime. I may be surprised…but I may need a small lobotomy first to see WoW as that brand new incredible game I played 14 years ago.
The demo from Blizzcon didn’t do anything for me - I was like, eww run fight fight fight (one mob), sit to regen, run run run, repeat. The worst parts of early game. Didn’t feel the wide-eyed wonder and awe at the game.
I may be expecting too much. Like I said, I don’t like to repeat things (most males like my hubby can watch the same movie a dozen times and laugh at all the same jokes). I can’t do that. My memory sux but I remember enough for the “dammit, I saw this already” to let me redo things I’ve done before.
We’ll see.
If we ever get past the login queue boss.
ps. now that I’ve seen Nat Pagle as a nice real person, I’ll stop calling the in-game NPC “a lousy drunk bastidge that kept sending me on stupid fishing quests all over the worlds”. Sorry.
In vid, is that the photo of the orig team? Also is that Chris Metzen in front row 2-fr-R?
I was tickled by AA expressing disbelief that PN was reading the note from Marshall McBride. PN: “I think I wrote it!”
Loved the vid entirely, well designed to connect with the gamer soul. Esp loved the close ups of the mouse, plushes and figurine at beginning with swelling music When everything is awesome, nothing is too cheesy.
ty bilzz luvd it
It actually does - and it’s pretty stupid they didn’t post it there as well.
Kaivax posts in the Classic forums all the time.
They did post it there, though.
lol it’s mean spirited to call them out on the lies and BS players have put up with? They are the ONLY DEV TEAM on the planet that refuses to directly engage the players, and you want to know why? because they knew they were going to take the sellout road long ago. These Blizzard folks are going to end up in a cardboard box under a bridge because the California syndrome is real, where they think everything they do is right, until there is enough blacklash to prove it was wrong, All you have to do is listen to idiot Ion and see he hasn’t a clue what he is doing.

@5.40 I remember the first time I caught a flight path as well, and that was a very interesting experience, it might seem like nothing now but the first time really does get your immersion.
