With the small changes already being changed I have one thing to say. You will fail if you add sharding and xrealm to classic. Most of us vanilla fans loved everything about it.
Even in the latest loot anouncement it shows you aren’t holding true to classic wow. In classic wow it was a learning experience to not get ninja’d and to pick the right goups. As well as no xrealm or sharding made it so you retained what ever reputation you built up on that server. There were blacklisted people that everyone knew. Realm rep was by far what kept most people in check and by far more effective than a ban administered by you.
We want Vanilla we want the whole thing no safety nets or idiot proofing. No cookie cutting. No xrealm. No sharding. No personal loot. I can’t stress enough the eases to leveling as well. No xmog. No mount stable to click and summon. We kept the mount we needed in our bag for use.
Same goes for toys. Also if you guys somehow end up putting in heirlooms or some stupid xp gainer that wasn’t there you won’t get the larger playerbase to return.
We want the pristine unfiltered original vanilla disc we pulled out of our box in the beginning of it all. Stop screwing with it and give us what we really want without Activision tainting original Blizzard’s World of Warcraft.
I for one didn’t like a rogue just popping out stunlocking me dead before I could cast a single thing and getting camped for hours. But again that was what vanilla was you travelled the world with your mates and guildies. You chose areas wisely and if you saw a local defense go off you knew to make yourself scarce or prepare for a fight.
I mean leeroy jenkins and funeral death raid videos things like that were awesome. Yes i know leeroy was staged but the funeral raid wasn’t. It was things like this that wouldnt be possible without single realms. I was on Laughing Skull thats were I grew up. I want to return to my old home I ask you keep the functions the same if you want to do backend performance stuff for better graphics awesome but other than that stop what you are doing.
Even the demo vid showed xrealm and sharding. We pick our servers wisely and choose the one class we must dedicate ourselves to because in the end it was our world and Blizzard’s original vision. Not this dying cash cow it has become. This won’t get read by Blizzard but I hope you vanilla players speak up if you are with me here.
Also just an add in the demo def showed xrealm. Changing the loot trade is also wrong.
When we ask for something in original conditon we dont mean a burger with a bite taken out of it. We mean hot off the grill and neatly wrapped. Pixel for pixel copy is what I really want.
