It’d be nice to know when the pre-patch will hit. I recently came back after a year-long break and I wanna hit rank 10 or 11. It will take me at least 2 more weeks. I’d rather not work toward it just to have it yanked away.
Prepatch won’t be until at LEAST when Beta starts, you have time. I just wanna know when this patch will drop o.0
Didn’t they pull it down from the PTR? I am guessing next week at the earliest. They are only doing server restarts this week.

seal twisting is the opposite of unfun. it provides you with things to do when otherwise youre just watching your character auto attack for 70% of the time.
as a player who main swapped to ret paladin in real tbc and has mained ret through almost every expansion since, and am going back to ret in tbc, i do not want seal twisting removed.
im a little disappointed same seal different rank twisting is gone, but i can understand why it was
but dont you dare think about removing twisting altogether.
youre going to be able to do it nearly every swing anyways.
same seal twisting was also only going to be used in pvp, not pve. pve is always blood + command. even for alliance since they get blood now too.
Nah, if you have to go SoC -> SoB, you have to choose between crusader strike or a twist pretty much every other swing.
And on the swings you do twist under that model, you often lose judgements. That’s not a huge loss, but it does lower the dps gain from twisting. The whole process also ends up costing significantly more Mana.
Being able to twist in either direction is a pretty significant boost to seal twisting’s benefit compared to the original tbc form.
It’s more Mana efficient, and doesn’t crowd out other attacks to twist every swing. If the goal is to maintain original class balance, this form of twisting should not remain.
i mean that goes without saying
basically if you twist using rank1 soc with sob, you delay judgments until youre on sob. you also consume dark/demonic runes, and you have little to no issues sustaining mana.
60 days of PTR. RELEASE IT, DO NOT WAIT FOR PREPATCH.

You lose subscriptions because you won’t give people simple timelines or answers like this. People wanna know if this is going to live, people wanna know when, and in their frustration they stop playing because of your laziness and ineptitude in communicating with the community. Not releasing prepatch could literally cost blizzard millions of dollars and you hemorrhage subscriptions because people are tired of your no timeline garbage.
Maybe we don’t get answers because blizzard pays their employees subzero market rates for the revenue they generate, so only the hardcore veil-over-eyes community managers are left. Either way, you calculated wrong, I’ve seen dozens of players stop playing because PTR feels better and they’ll just wait till tbc to resub. My sample size multiplied by the playerbase of classic is easily in the hundreds of thousands of subscription dollars maybe millions. Have you calculated that the people staying subscribed waiting for a simple batching change outweighs the myriad of people who have quit out of frustration because of it?
Any blizzard employee reading this post: Force them to implement this change and then chart the difference in subscriptions the day before and the week after. Blizzard has always timed their releases with earnings reports with TBC coming out, that is irrelevant and you’re just losing a month subscription for all the players burned out from classic due to simple QOL changes they expected and never received like this.
It’s pathetic and shortsighted, every decision to delay this in terms of player-base happiness, financial benefit, and player-base loyalty is a failure. Non-transparency might be a good short term achievement, but it seems to me the ridiculous stock market inflation has convinced activision blizzard their asinine strategies for small product percentage like classic wow are irrelevant. Long term this is a mistake. Get your promotion community manager and give the playerbase a reason to stay subbed till TBC launch
