WoW classic through to Wotlk as a single player rpg

ive always wanted world of warcraft to be adapted into a single player rpg. so heres my theoratical idea for it that could never actually be made because of its absurd scale.

CHARACTER CREATION
character creation is the same as world of warcraft in the way that you pick a race and class which determines where in the world you start. for the purposes of this game blood elves and draenei are retconned into classic to account for the fact that starting during tbc would be messy.

STARTING THE GAME
the starting areas are the same as in WoW classic but with a more linear main quest that recaps the broad events of the warcraft trilogy and introduces PARTY MEMBERS! thats right this game has party members similar to knights of the old republic or mass effect. or i guess anything by bioware. theres 1 for every specialization in the game and each of them have a quest chain associated with them.
once youve finished the starting area you are free to go to basically anywhere in the eastern kingdoms and kalimdor and in order to unlock outlands you need to take down all of the endgame bosses from classic WoW
BURNING CRUSADE
once you go to outlands the story gets real serious. from here your goal is to get to illidans demon gang TM and eventually breach the black temple. the stories the same just imagine it as a dragon age game.
WRATH OF THE LICH KING
once youve completed every other main quest you can go to northrend and wage war against the lich king. by this point you should be close to max level and have all of the party members but the death knights. by the end of the game your party is fully decked out and all 31 of you climb icecrown citadel and take down the lich king.

this whole thing is really vague and poorly thought out but what do you think of this idea?

I would love a single player RPG in the Warcraft universe. I’m surprised they haven’t put together a new team to develop it, that’s easy money. Especially with the resurgence of RPGs lately, with games like Baldur’s Gate 3, Divinity Original Sin 2, and Pillars of Eternity.

If they can do it for a card game, they can do it for a single player RPG.

Leveling with “guardians” instead of players for group content, would essentially remove the need for any interaction with a person ever.

The reason they don’t do this is because they don’t make money off of non recurring payments.

They’ve got you buying a box every expansion and your subscription
Cutting corners every way they can to make that money seem like more to investors. Especially because blizzard has failed in major ways recently.

Or even a JRPG type game where you build your party of available classes/races and then play through the story line.

Up through wraith the story was top notch. They definitely should do something with it.

I want to play DH or this game is bust.

Depends on where they start, but DHs were around in BC

they could make a sequel with cata up to legion which would of course have a demon hunter party member

Tbh, I would like to see a single player Starcraft rpg made more than a wow one. Although it seems Blizz is pretty much done with anything related to Starcraft now sadly. If Blizzard has no further plans to do anything with Starcraft, I wish they would sell off the Starcraft franchise to Frost Giant Studios. They are made up of mostly former Blizz devs/employees anyways.
