WoW Classic Testing Access as of May 22

Which just means that it’s not only veterans being invited.

Keep in mind also that it’s a limited number of invites. Even if it was only vets, not every vet would be invited.

its a proven fact that no person or company has ever lied on the internet

Not to sound bitter or anything of the sort. Though while I would like a beta invite, I am coming from a place of ignorance, wouldn’t you want to increase invites for the maximum possibilities of testing. Is it worded right, or wordered in a way where there will be an open beta at some point? Just wondering and bouncing thoughts.

Except this is not true. There are FAR more regular joe’s than streamers in there.

I got into the stress test on this account and it was created in 2017 I believe. My other accounts did not as they are not currently subscribed.

So newer accounts can at least get into the stress test.

You could be optimistic and think that is was because they were gonna do a open beta soon but its probly best not to be

Sounds like they’ll have many hours to beta test this summer with no job/family. Great pickup on team blizz’s side and hey, a lot of you might have been 16 when you played classic. It’s good they have the forethought to cover that demographic as well as new players to the wow universe.

Basically if you’re not in now the chances of you getting in are even more astronomical than before. I would think it’s extremely limited as it is though. Oh well, Aug 27 is not far away

Yea just 95 days 23 hours and 27 minutes

Source?

(jk :stuck_out_tongue:)

Disappointed by this but it’s understandable. I’m glad I got invited to the stress test at the very least.

Tipsout: “I wish blizz would let more people in. God, there’s hardly anybody.”
Just now. On stream.

Technically it’s how the game was in 2006.

This is untrue. There is only so much data that can be meaningfully observed by paid employees without losing out. Additionally, there is hype and commercial success to think about. Your best guesses on the subject are not going to compare to the paid professionals at blizzard who both have all the demographics and marketing data and the clearest view of blizzards objective and goals. You may feel like you really know better than those 6 figure earners at blizzard - but you probably have a worse idea of what’s healthy or beneficial to the company then them.

It’s easy to feel like it’s random but there really is a lot of thought and concern put into these decisions that effect people’s jobs and Blizzard’s future. It’s a common mistake we’re all guilty of sometimes, but rest assured they’re doing it the best way the industry, science and money knows how.

Blizz thinks the they know what we want, but they don’t.

only items added were the diablo pets and there was no special title for beta testers to my knowledge.

I’ll suck your staff if you give me beta access…

Everyone who had an active account during vanilla that’s still active should get an invite just as a general courtesy and thank you from Blizzard. but instead you’re more interested in getting streamers etc who likely won’t even stick with the game.

That’s how much Blizz appreciates their long time supporters for ya. GG.

I don’t think in any way I think I know better than professionals. That is probably why I was asking and trying to bounce ideas, but you do make some solid points.

From what I see, most of the open world in the beta is a ghost town. I believe that you should invite more people, burnout isn’t really a thing with vanilla people anyway, so there is no real reason to cap it at such a low population. Its just a hype killer to those of us passed over. Especially those of us who have wanted to go home to classic for so long.
