Logged in when it launched no problem. Excellent.
Character is there from last week. Perfect.
Log into Mulgore. Fast.
Freeze in place at quest giver at spawn. Freeze in place at quest giver at spawn?
Wait around for a bit. Lots of Lua errors.
Wait around more, can’t move. Not good.
Try to relog. Bad move.
Come to login screen. Lots of queues, oh no.
“No realms are currently available.” Ffffffffffffffff.

Do you understand why they didn’t test everything they wanted last time? It’s because like 95% of the people couldn’t log in, so they didn’t have the numbers in the starting zones that they wanted.

Per the Blue post about today’s test, last time the intent was to stress the layering technology, among other things, but instead the problems with the login server and character creation meant that those intended items weren’t sufficiently tested. Hence, today’s test, which was supposed to include the fixes from what actually broke last time.
Yet we seem to be right back where we were last time with problems due to login problems and character creation, as if the fixes from the last test didn’t work.
Does that mean we’ll get yet another stress test scheduled to hopefully stress test the layering as they want to do, assuming they fix whatever problems are still there preventing us from even getting that far today?
I am a very confused and stressed out bovine. But trust me, stressed bovines are undesirable because it makes the milk very sour.

Can’t log in no matter which “WoW” I use. I guess I’ll go back and bash my head against the wall in Hearthstone 3rd Wing Heroic… sigh…

Yes, you’re 100% right, and the fact that Blizz apparently learned nothing, or at the very least applied nothing that they learned, is very disconcerting for the future of classic.

it’s a stress test. not sure why so many people don’t understand this. there isn’t a wow1 or wowx at all for the stress test. it shows up as Beta & Stress Test: Wow Classic under the region tab of the launcher btw

last stress test asmon didn’t even get in until like 50 minutes after the servers officially opened btw
Classic Stress Test: Working as intended. Get stuck today, so we don’t get stuck in August. If we DO get stuck in August, I will be right here with you throwing the @#$% at Blizz.

And this is one server guys. They do this on one server. At launch they announced that 55 servers will be playable. So stop saying how this will make classic suck because of what is happening to ONE server that ten thousand people are trying to get into at once.
