for the people who got stress test invites, is there a higher chance we will get genuine beta invites now? or no correlation
That’s my problem with all of this though, there was nothing misleading about what they said. Even the name “stress test” should imply that there is a chance you won’t play in that two hours. They’re trying to stress the systems to see if they break, why would anyone be surprised if they do?

They’re basically shutting down Beta invites atm. Which is a bad idea, people are reporting low beta numbers making it hard to test things if you’re not a streamer (this has nothing to do with streamer privilege, just that it’s hard to make groups if you don’t know a lot of people)
From what I saw in a blue post earlier they stated that they are very close to the max testers they are going to invite to the closed beta so probably not going to send many more out unless they do some waves throughout.

I do agree that it’s a bad idea to slow invites now. More people testing is never a bad thing.
It is listed at “BETA and Stress Test”. You don’t seem to understand what the BETA part of that means. There is also “and” in the statement. This implies two things are being tested. Why do you not understand this?

They’ve said MULTIPLE times that that is because they use the same client.
The stress test is not the beta test.
Playing the game to level 5 is a Beta test.
They’re handling the whole thing wrong with the Beta invites. Sure streamers are nice to have for hype building, but giving a bunch of streamers invites and then saying “we’re prioritizing old accounts!” when they obviously aren’t is just bad business and people can easily see it.
Another thing is is that there is multiple documented cases of people getting invites who didn’t sign up for classic beta and don’t even want it…

They’re doing us a favor by leaving the stress test servers open for a day. They already have people who have tested 1-5, as well as 5-30. They don’t need this for beta testing.
I keep hearing about people getting who didn’t opt in but haven’t seen any proof. Not trying to be a smartass, just genuinely curious if you have a link or something.
I wouldn’t mind the streamer priority at first if they continued sending invites. I’m really hoping if they do decide to continue with the slow down that they eventually start another wave.

The purpose of the stress test was not to beta test the content. They already have a large group of people doing that. This was SOLELY to test the systems.
The links are all buried now unfortunately and I have no desire to go dig them up. Most people don’t have a reason to make that crap up though, MOST.
Streamers are only good for hype, they generally make bad testers, even to the point that a lot of the things they’ve reported are wrong… or meme worthy.
