if they was the case they should have had that was what was being tested , me and lots of others assumed the testing would be about actual in game player caps and how effective layering would be

I’ve logging in a total of 11 times had 4 character creation screens, but never got in. The rest of the time the server has been offline/locked. Would have been nice to see the game.

That’s… part of what a stress test sometimes will entail? Not being able to play bc of the stress on the servers. Which isn’t as fun as just playing a beta or anything, but they get data from it that can be used to extrapolate and test limits and SET limits and such so that hopefully this sort of thing won’t actually happen when the game goes LIVE.

Test didn’t fail, you failed to understand development and testing.

Blizzard should have just called today’s awful stress test the “Streamers’ Stress Test” so us lessers could get the picture earlier since they had no issues getting into the servers at all.

I am very thankful for the opportunity to participate in the stress test. I hope my 1hr 40 minutes of failed login attempts, and character creation errors has helped them collect the data they needed in regards to ushering players into the servers!

However, as I am aware that this is a stress test and I completely expected this, I am still a little disappointed that it seems like most people who had beta already were able to login with mild issues, and those of us who didn’t, couldn’t get past the character creation screen at most. I was also disappointed to see them eventually lock the realms maybe an hour and a half in, seemingly no one being able to get in period after that point. I really wish they could have kept the logins open to 1) collect more data that they will probably need because theres no way they got all they needed from 5k+ people trying to log in, from this one test so far, and 2) because I still had hope I would get in, haha. I’ve been playing since 2.4.3, which is not as long as most of you guys, but I still have a strong sense of nostalgia for pre-cata WoW, and I was really excited for the possibility of playing, even until level 5.

Anyways, if Blizz is reading this, I hope my failed attempts gave you some good data, and here’s to hoping of getting in on the next stress test (and maybe being able to actually provide in-game data, and kill some kobolds :slight_smile:)
