I got my email and the game was available to download immediately for me. It might pay for some of you to either relog into the battlenet client or restart the client.

I got an invite to the stress test but I get off work at 5 PST, and have an hour commute home. You couldn’t have picked the worst time Blizz.

i received the stress test invite email, yet my dropdown menus only show PTR:wow1 and PTR:wow6. is it any of those?

Its interesting that you would phrase it that way “a lottery”, it certainly seems like gambling to me and I know gambling has very different rules and is extremely regulated. In Australia we have a department of fair trading, I think US/EU also have different governing bodies, might be worth making a call because this certainly seems to be a grey area/suspect to me.

I said it like that because a majority of those interested are not made aware of the parameters Bliz has in place to chose beta testers. The lottery feels improbable to win and that reminds me of how it feels improbable to get in beta because we have no idea how it works to be picked for beta. All of us heard there was a release date and saw some streamers playing beta and we went crazy with excitement. That’s it. Feels like you’re taking things too seriously

Not true at all, it was explicitly stated you needed an active subscription to be invited to beta (or even be considered). There was a causal link between subscribing and receiving beta access.

No they said already, that is the sad Part 7 out of my 13 Accounts got invited. So you can be sure EVERYONE just got invited xD

Don’t think so. Well… There is no indication of that anywhere official.

Maybe it is a good idea to make sure you log in for those 2 hours and more after the test is done just in case they do take into consideration participation for future waves. It couldn’t hurt anyway.

I didn’t realize it was just a stress test at first and flipped out. Texted my friend told him I’m pulling an all nighter, turned the lights out, sat down and… it was just an offline stress test server. Unlucky lol

Sorry if I’m confusing folks but it’s pretty different situation than normal. If you got invited to the stress test you will only be able to play on the stress test.

So, no hopes on getting into the beta?
