Traaaaaash. "Hey guys, we fail miserably at every facet of anything new we try to create, let’s recycle yet ANOTHER product we (I mean, mostly people that don’t work here anymore) made like TWENTY YEARS AGO because anything we touch now turns to hot garbage.
However we did turn a painting of some babe into a bowl of fruit, so there’s that. Don’t you love us again ;_;."
And on that topic, Blizz is so incredibly cringe with their bottom tier attempts at virtue signaling, like, you know who else would change that painting? Prolly the Taliban in Afghanistan. I hear they also don’t like to show the skin of a woman unless it’s like, 3mm around their eyes. And the flirts, is this sht for real? A company in America is regressing horribly in the name of being progressive. Who is even making the calls at Blizz? Chimps? Lmfao.
i think at the end of every season u should choose to got to current classic era with no changes or go play on a classic+ realm with MASSIVE changes. and i think adding heroic and mythic difficulties in the game would be really good and only allow world buffs in mythic. also perhaps make the rank 14 grind just not decay and have a certain honor level to rank up but still keep it very grindy
Could we have updates graphics? I like retail warcraft graphics and classic game play. Those two combined would be amazing in my opinion.
In the halo master chief collection there is a toggle (in ce and 2) to switch from original graphics to the remastered one. Can wow have the same in the classic era?? I feel like it would be possible but I’m not a dev so idk anything.
I just think it would be neat to have a remastered world with the old systems.
careful, you ask for that and the drooling sweat lords will arrive shortly screaming at you for wanting retail and to go play retail. I agree that all the graphics and animations need to be updated. It looks better and I would bet money if they took a survey, the majority would vote YES
An RBG rating system of sorts should be implemented to compliment the wargame feature that you guys already added to the game, and prevent people from burning out from the R14 grind (while still keeping the prestige).
To keep BGs from dying, this rating system would only give you “rating” for the epic PvP pieces, and you would still need to farm honor from BGs to buy the blue pieces.
You could even make it so you have to spend honor to even buy the epic pieces, or simply make it the same as TBC where you can buy it with RBG (arena) points.
This keeps everyone happy, as the original “prestige” factor is kept alive, and a new level of competition being added to the game draws in players from TBC and retail who are craving that aspect. Lots of people refrain from playing classic because of the 3+ month grind, and no competitive aspect.
I’m looking at this season as if they’re releasing all the content at launch and the phases don’t even exist. Just because a new raid comes out doesn’t mean you have to be ready for it right away. Every guild will be progressing at different rates depending on skill, numbers and luck with loot. It’s Ok to be progressing through BWL still when AQ is out, that’s how it was back in the day.
Fun things that will happen in SOM that will cause casual raiders to quit-
Classes that aren’t top dps will not be invited due to boss difficulty ( worst then before).
Professions like Eng will be mandatory to help speed up trash clear times.
Raids will be longer and require multiple raid times a week to actually full clear the current teir
Loot will be scarce, so those who get loot in bad guilds will be scalped for good guilds.
Consumes will be mandatory.
Those who don’t buy gold or spend hours a week farming wont be able to raid.
Phase speed will leave many players behind, very very quickly.
The biggest problem is expectation. These people were just carried through classic vanilla got all the gear. Now they have to work twice as hard. This will be the true killer.
There will be tears. Most of you championing this will never step foot into bwl. And when the pop declines, it snowballs very very quickly. Recruitment into the final phases will be a joke.
And with all that being said, that’s fine. These are pve endgame problems. There are still people who will have fun playing SOM. They don’t need end game content. Those that wish to play the game outside of raids will actually get a fun experience.
The hardcore vanilla players have already had their fresh experience with classic. Now let the casual players who do not have a lot of time in their day play Classic with efficiency (cough me).
The leveling experience was very fun but also very time consuming. The increased exp gain will be awesome to reduce time spent leveling without killing the experience! It also took forever to get gear from raids. Having an increased loot drop will make a casuals gameplay experience better.
I honestly feel like I want this game to go even further. We already got the fresh Classic experience… now let’s go for Classic+! Class balances, heroic dungeons / raids, new dungeons / raids, new gear, and perhaps a new story that the Bronze Dragonflight takes us to maybe (gotta make it make sense somehow) ???
Oh yeah, that very casual mindset of rushing through the leveling experience to get to max level and grind raids. And adding in Heroics…that’s definitely what Casuals want. By the way, they’re not increasing loot drops.
The reality is this Season is about as anti-casual as could be imagined. This is tailored for a very, very small number of ultra-hardcore players. Players will rush to 60, start raiding. The players lucky enough to get drops will then quit their current guilds and join up together. Everyone else is left in the dust.
Maybe Season 2 will be more interesting, as it seems maybe they’ll have a different theme to the experience each year.
I’ve come to realize for a while barely no one who plays this game is happy.
You’re damned if you do or don’t with a lot of stuff. Anything you suggest you’re sent to the stake lmao.
You really think people will quit their guilds and join up with other geared players? I suppose I can see that happening, but I don’t think it’ll be everyone who does that. I’m gonna give people a bit more credit than that. A lot of people value the social dynamic of their guild and are going to have some loyalty and stick with them.
This is what’s gonna happen. I’m all for increased challenge, but the loot scarcity is going to make the whole thing so much worse. I doubt many people will stick around into AQ/Naxx if this stays.
Wasn’t guild sniping a thing back in the originial vanilla? I used to hear stories of people trying to steal geared tanks and healers. If I’m wrong I apologise for it being wrong.
