WoW Classic Season of Mastery Coming Soon

yes can I help you?

Faster EXP and No World buffs…I may actually stick with it this time.

I dont have 200+ hours to level a single character in a game, so making the EXP faster will definitely let people like me get to max level and experience the content.

And not having to raid log to save world buffs is fantastic.

Im actually stoked to do classic this time around!

Also the faster release cadence is great…notice it said 1 year…guest what happens next year??? A new round!

Holly Longdale is one of the people in charge of Classic WoW now, and for those who don’t know she was Everquest’s President for years and years before this. She is literally turning Classic WoW into what EQ does with their progression servers that are IMMENSELY popular over there. Things to expect:

Yearly new server releases
Seasonal/Short term servers with special goals to complete
New Server rules and ideas

This is the stuff they did in EQ and are clearly going to start doing here.

EXACTLY! this is the kind of change that will make WoW-SoM interesting. Simply rehashing the same “meta” makes no sense. Giving people a new way to challenge encounters and make them think outside the box is a great way to use old content!

Don’t know about population, but they desperately need to merge servers.

sounds horrible

I got you bro.

classic servers are hard dead. Honestly, there is enough players to make 1 whole original vanilla server.

actually its a lot of fun. Once you go through 3-4 of rinse repeat new severs, having new seasonal servers and new rulesets can be a ton of fun.

Like for isntance the latest TLP server in EQ has 100% free trade loot (nothing is no drop) and all loot is random from any boss, so for instance Barron Geddin could drop Onyxia loot and Onyxia could drop Golemagg loot, it makes it crazy and fun and exciting for a game thats ben out for 21 years

we get it, we get it… good thing, you can go play it literally right now, sanctioned by Blizz as well!

Oh I like this game.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you can turn that white rage into a level 70 character.

Sounds amazing to me, too busy with TBC to play it, but i like the stuff here a great deal.

SJW on our hands.

Imagine using “SJW” unironically

“People don’t want to get WB’s and then raidlog all week”
“Now this makes it more likely to bring out of meta specs” (lmao)

Raid logging always happens because Classic wow only has endgame raiding content and that’s its focus.

The major change is now warlocks are more viable. All of the ‘meme’ specs are still bad because of their talents and items, especially tier gear pigeonholing.

It’s like you guys look at TBC changes and don’t realize what it fixed and what it broke. People thinking this changes what classes and specs are going to be brought to raid now are in major cope mode. Bigger health pools, shorter release frame? That means heavier inclination to be meta. Have they addressed loot scarcity? It was the worst part about raiding.

Imagine using imagine and unironically in one four word statement. How ironic.

I love how these WB cranks REFUSE to acknowledge the very real fact that they are in the minority. Sure blizzard can create a server for them, sure…and now that I think about it, blizz SHOULD! if for no other reason but to prove to these cranks that they can have their WBs and all the dozens of them that go to that server would NOT be enough to sustain any sort of MMO economy.

They love to view the world from their singular point of view and not realizing that in order to have a FUNCTIONING MMO server you NEED people that actually want to play on it.

Agree with below comments regarding heavily nerfing dungeon exp to discourage boosting. Make the point of dungeons the gear and completing dungeon related quests and boost the quest exp from those dungeon related quests. I support the exp buff for quests, anything to encourage quest completion vs dungeon boost grinding or straight mob grinding. The true nature of the game is to experience the story by completing quests and progressing a character with others (In my opinion), not kill millions of animals and humanoids by yourself or while AFK just to get to 60. I support other mentioned changes regarding no debuff limit and more gathering nodes. Would ideally like to see some balancing of specs, but would like to see quest exp boost and dungeon exp nerf most importantly

Guess you don’t.

Some talent changes to buff moonkin/ret/ele/etc would be welcome in my mind for these new servers. If and when I every feel like playing a wow classic fresh, im totally down for this.

Might want to consider servers that allow world buffs. Or make the first month or so of a phase not allow them, then turn them on.

Also mana efficiency for many specs.

These are my biggest wants.
