Why during work hours though??

Not sure why they’d do that. They don’t want to separate people for a stress test. Probably not much RP going on anyway in that short an amount of time. Too busy waiting for boar spawns.

This was my thought exactly! I guess they’re only looking for full time gamers hahaha

Wants maximum stress participation for launch issue monitoring
Asks for max participation during work hours, again
Requires active subs, again

Yeah it kinda sucks
but at least it’s only the stress tests that are like this. But thankfully the real game launches at 6pm (EST)
plently of time to get home and settle in before the real grind begins.

Thanks for the update. Will be waiting until launch to resub though, I hope everyone has fun! Play the heck out of it!

Name reservations start at 3 though so im gonna have to rush out of work early to make sure I get my names hahaha

So you’re asking use to take vacation time to give you data?

Most people interested in this project are not 18 year olds on summer break
that whole job thing gets in the way you know?!

Nice! My laptop can run it!

Last time I tried playing WoW on my laptop, it worked, but I had to stop leveling with my brothers in Legion due to overheating that caused my MS to spike

Didn’t wanna lose my computer, so I had to stop.

I saw nothing in Kaivax’s post about vacation. Didn’t see “stress test” in there either. Blizzard is calling this a “global pre-launch test of WoW Classic.” We really don’t know for sure what they want to gain by this test. We can surmise perhaps. I trust that Blizzard is well aware of the day of the week and the time of day that the test will occur. It is fair to presume that they feel they will gain all they need from the test whether you are their participating or not.

Fixed that for you.

If you’re worried about performance, upgrade. If you can’t upgrade, don’t worry about performance, because you can’t change it anyway

Perfect, you won’t have to take time off work :stuck_out_tongue:

We can surmise pretty accurately based on the fact that its a ‘Pre-Launch test’ occurring globally. They want to see that nothing goes wrong when they launch all regions at once. i.e. It’s less about overloading and more about making sure each region is fully tooled up.

Scheduled to end on Friday, August 9th.

So does that mean the servers will go down on Thursday, August 8th at 11:59pm PDT? Or will it be live for a few hours into Friday?

where the heck am I supposed to get 5GB of free SSD space?

Seeing these hardware requirements made me chuckle. I could literally pull my old gaming rig out of my storage closet, crank it up, and play where I left off like 13 years ago. feelsweirdman!

Given previous tests, they’ll round out to the 24hr mark, so likely 11am PT. But maybe if they’re really nice, they can round it out to Monday 11am PT.

not sure if trolling or in-gorant

If you don’t have a 256GB SSD dedicated to games, independent from your OS SSD, you should visit your local Fry’s, Walmart, Amazon site, JB-HiFi, Harvey Norman or other place that sells computer stuff.

When you say name reservations start at 3,what time zone are you referencing?
